  1. There is a bug in all versions of Windows 10 and GPP scheduled tasks will only work if the run as is set to system I believe...
  2. We use NetSupport DNA which is excellent. Does Windows, Mac, iOS and Chromebooks
  3. I've changed that setting and now have the following message coming up, any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, eddyc
  4. Sorry how would I achieve this? Thanks
  5. Hi CHiLL So do you have WSUS configured? Would you be able to provide your full update policy so I can see if I have any differences between ours and yours? Cheers
  6. Hi CHiLL, Thanks for this. We have that GPO item set to Disabled and have checked it in a GP result but still getting "try again later, something happened our end" or other errors. Any other suggestions? eddyc
  7. Hi all, We are having an issue with the Microsoft Store on the network on all devices which are running 1803. Basically there is one Administrator who can log in and kick off the updates and install\reinstall apps without an issue. The rest of us who are in the same OU and getting the same policies cannot. We get the following error; In fact, it has now broken for the one admin that it was working for too. No firewall changes. Any suggestions would be appreciated. eddyc
  8. Just as an update, despite making the changes that Arthur suggests, we still found this really hit and miss with some users getting no printers at login. Very strange \ annoying! I was at a networking event and spoke to someone else about this and they suggested using group policy preferences, and then having each printer listed twice. Once with a create and then again with an update. I have done this, and touch wood the issues seem to have gone away. Might be worth a try for those of you who are still having issues.
  9. Hi all, I have the basics of UE-V now working thanks to the amazing guide here but am still having issues with Internet Explorer not saving history or passwords, etc and likewise the same with Edge. Also, notification area behavior seems to be lost but settings \ pins to the start menu and task bar roam as expected. Have I missed something simple? Any pointers would be appreciated! Kind regards, eddyc
  10. Thanks for the guide, this has been really useful in helping to start our transition from roaming profiles to UE-V. I am having a few issues however and am not sure if the behavior is expected or if I haven't turned something on that I need to do? I have positioned desktop icons in the four corners of the screen and these stay in that location when I move between devices - great. I have set "Combine taskbar items" to never and this follow me between devices - also great. Notification area - I have set to always show all icons - This doesn't seem to roam with me (nor does it reapply on the device that I first set it on). IE history doesn't seem to move. Edge history doesn't seem to move. I am sure that I have imported all of the necessary XML files. Any pointers would be appreciated. I've turned off redirected app data and my test user is using a local profile. cheers, eddyc
  11. I've just added the two missing bits here - BULTIN\Users and the driver installation GPO, that aside we were like, for like. Heres to hoping that it fixes it for us. Cheers Arthur
  12. Our whole site is fully patched 1803 but the issue is still just as bad for us.
  13. Yes I have started looking at UE-V but am not anywhere near ready yet. Is it something that would work along side the existing roaming profiles then once it's ready we could delete everyones profile path?
  14. I should probably also add that Edge does this every login for all staff \ Administrator users
  15. Hi all, We are having issues with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge since moving to Windows 10 1803 (from Windows 7) where no browser history is remembered in Edge or Internet Explorer. We use Windows 10 1803, with roaming profiles and re-directed app data (the same as we did in Windows 7). I have checked the GPOs and everything looks fine so I cannot work out what is missing. Any pointers would be appreciated! eddyc
  16. Yes I agree it’s Windows 10 related. We have a 2016 print server and it doesn’t seem to have helped at all. We had the same issue at around the same level when we had our previous 2012 r2 print server too
  17. Hello, We deployed this over the summer and since adding this are finding that students are hanging whilst trying to apply the profile. Please can I just check, where you applying this to a device group or were you applying this to a OD user group? Cheers, eddyc
  18. We’ve also moved to Windows 10 / 1803 over the summer and are having issues with intermittent printer connections/having to restart the spooler on the print server to give things a kick/etc. Also following this thread with interest
  19. Still the same I'm afraid.
  20. This is in Windows. I cannot see anywhere in the software to change the date settings
  21. They're already set to UK sadly. I've double checked and verified this too
  22. We have discovered that since we have returned after the break that we are unable to make any new bookings on booking pro which is causing an issue for our lettings manager. We are getting the error below. Has anyone else had this error and managed to resolve it? Cheers, eddyc
  23. Thank you! It's easy when you know how. Sorted! :-)
  24. Hi all, Trying to have a tidy up of SOLUS3 and cannot remove an old computer from it, which is a little annoying. Wondering if anyone knows how to remove an ex-technicians PC? If I go into SOLUS and click on the PC under agents and click on remove computer I get "Agent OLDTECHCOMPUTER is responsible for the SOLUS3 user interface and cannot be uninstalled." I've had a look in the SOLUS database with no idea which flag to clear \ remove to get it to let me delete it. Any pointers would be appreciated. If not, I will log it with Capita tomorrow. Cheers, eddyc
  25. Well I am well and truly baffled now. We are on 1803 throughout. But I have come home tonight and had a quick look on the VPN at one of the finance PCs. Logged in as a member of the finance team. No UAC prompt (and they aren't in the local admins group on that PC either) so that seems to have gone away. At the same time, emailing a purchase order worked and it sent! I have obviously been having a few crazy weeks with regard to resource and imagining issues! They all seem to have sorted themselves out now! Thanks for the help everyone. Cheers eddyc
