We have been trying to update our Win7 64bit image on our server. We use VM and have been updating the 32bit image with no problems, but when updating our 64bit image we keep getting the same error. We update the 64 bit image and sysprep . The VM machine turns off and we change the Bios setting to Legacy Network Adaptor and start the machine. Instead of giving us the option to Image Capture it just starts the windows install setup. Even reverting the image back to the first version doesn't help. Any ideas?

Will look into this, as I said it's for only one student but it would be good to have this setup.

We have a student that is logging on to multiple computers around the school. Is there a way of restricting them to only one login? Due to lack of funds we can't afford Impero .

We have a Windows 7 64bit image on WDS. The image works fine, we can re-image machines on our network with no issues. Problem is that every time we update the image on VMware and test the image through WDS it knocks one of our machines off the network. There are 10 other machines with 64bit images and they are unaffected. We run sysprep when creating the image but for some strange reason this one machine has to be added back onto the network. Any ideas?

Good idea, we've recently been cracking down on what students can have on their shared drives. While backing up past students files we were finding whole movies and mp3 collections!

Some students are uploading video clips and movies to Google drive, then log into their own personal accounts and download and watch them in lessons. As we need to allow them access for uploading/downloading school work is there any way of applying restrictions on what they can do ? Obviously it really is a classroom behaviour issue as we cant monitor every student. We have a palo alto firewall.

Anyone with a Plato Alto firewall have any luck in blocking this ?

We have finally got Google safe search working , a big thank you to jameshart on the forum here for the help. really appreciated. Only problem we now have is that some of the computers in the school are on I.E. 10 and the response page here that redirects the Students to safesearch wont work https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/documentation/70/pan-os/pan-os/url-filtering/enable-transparent-safe-search-enforcement.html#30017 . It just sends the Students back to the School portal. No problems with I.E. 11 The update for I.E.11 is being pushed out on the network but with over 50 laptops and various devices that are not used for long periods of time it would be good to have a version of the response page that includes I.E. 10 Even if its a short term fix. I'd imagine that it is a small adjustment in the html code, not one of my strong points!

Thank you interesting , problem we have is that when we try to create a CNAME using the DNS hack it just keeps coming up with an error. Even when we try a powershell script it comes up with errors. I'm sure it's not the Palto alto causing the problems. We are running Windows server 2012 r2.

Since these changes https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/Management-Articles/App-ID-changes-to-Google-apps/ta-p/66890 we have been unable to enforce safe search on google.com. On our student test machine we run chrome and safe search is enabled. But as soon as you try it in IE it is turned off. We don't have Chrome installed on the student machines yet but it looks like we will have to go this way as Google seem to be forcing people to use their browser. Have anyone managed to get it working on IE ?

Does this work with Google search engine ? Since the changes we can't enforce safesearch and it has caused a few incidents of students accessing Adult images. We managed to block Youtube for ks3-4 using our palo alto firewall as only Ks5 and teachers are allowed access to Youtube in our Academy.

Handy list , pity we cant get it working lol!! We can block You tube for students but still can't enable safesearch in google. Luckily the students haven't noticed yet , but they are accessing adult images. Thinking of blocking Google and going with yahoo or ask as they work fine. Bizarre! Palo Alto really don't give clear instructions on using their firewall.

Thanks to the recent updates on Google base on the Palo Alto we can now block You tube.co.uk but still cant block youtube.com! Anyone have any ideas!

Has anyone managed to block the following type of website https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/68231368/ short of blocking Scratch which we obviously can't do.

We don't have that option so It looks like we have to contact our Internet Supplier.
