  1. Has it finished running yet?
  2. Can't believe this worked...but it did. The exact driver you need to leave behind is Realtek Net rtux64w10.INF 10.38.0117.2020. Rebuild the deployment share only with this driver (Right click Deployment Share / Properties / Windows PE Tab - Drivers and Patches Tab / Select GeobookE1 Selection profile that you should already have set up, You probably need to only look at the selection profile for the task sequence as well). Thanks Lukemason12.
  3. Not tried it with chrome, but did suggest that the users install chrome and try that at home (app store doesn't work from within our network and I haven't worked out why yet). Hopefully find out today when they bring them back with Chrome installed. I have arranged to see them at 3pm as they are all busy today.
  4. I have just handed 6 iPads to our PE dept. They are about 2-3 years old, but have just been factory reset and updated to the latest IOS. 4 of our PE department have set them up and walked them through wifi setup (joining wifi, adding proxy settings, installing certificate, trusting certificate even though its already trusted). 1 seems to be working fine, 1 wasn't really tested, but 2 will hang on google while searching for certain sites, eg BBC returns results, but BBC Sport will show the loading bar getting stuck about a third of the way across the screen. Gary Barlow works fine, but searching for our PE teacher called Gary also hangs. I have tried killing safari, rebooted, cleared browsing data and cleared an error about changing the pin code. To carry out the last one required me to tether to my phone as our proxy seemed to interfere with the processes of sending the info to iCloud. When tethered just after this, safari seemed to work pretty fine, but on linking back to the wifi it again would freeze on the same searches. Then the person that it worked fine for said his started playing up. The AP was tucked in a cupboard in the office and signal was full bars. our internet is 300MB/S and this was when all the students were off site (it was around 4pm, long after the standard 3pm finish). We have a ruckus wireless system (APs and zonedirector), a sophos UTM acting as a firewall, a Sophos proxy server for filtering, and Securus for recording any inappropriate web surfing. Anybody ever have this happen to them before? Thanks.
  5. Thanks for that Axe. For the record i have used the vanilla version, used it to update the Appinventor-emulator-data file, saved it to a central location and then used our own script to copy it to all the computers in our labs. I had tried to do this by updating my install of AI, and copying the Appinventor-emulator-data file, which had worked on the previous update, but for some reason wouldn't work this time. Good work Axe.
  6. Hi Axe Can you just post the solution here for everyone to see? It would mean that you won't keep being hassled by people to send you the solution. Thanks
  7. If you want to rotate through multiple powerpoints, videos, photos, websites, etc, then have you looked at onelan? It is quite expensive, but it is a powerful digital signage system. I had it at my last place of work and you were able to setup zones to display different content including news feeds and whether as well as simply looping through content, far more features than what I could use. Alternatively there are some open source digital signage, but I have never used them.
