Hi I was the school timetabler about seven years ago. Since then, I have supported 2 new timetablers in the process. I'm starting with the 3rd tomorrow (at their request, not mine :)). I have completely forgotten what to do first. Is it the Transfer Curriculum process? They have (what looks like ) a pretty good model drafted out. I can remember how to get that set up, but it's the very first bit that's just gone out of my head. Can anybody prompt me on this?

Hi I don't really know what to call this thread, but I'll try to explain We have a block set up on NOVA, like this We have it set up in SIMs so that all the subjects have the same set lists. BUT PE want their set lists set up with different students to all the other subjects. It has been set up like this for them for the past few years by somebody who has since left the school. They did leave me some brief instructions, but they don't make a lot of sense. I know it has something to do with 'Singletons', because that's what's written down for the first line of the instructions. I called our local SIMs support, but they said they didn't know how to do it and would get back to me - last week. They queried why the block had been set up like that. I don't do the timetable so I can't really get into that. Can anybody help out/point me in the right direction on how to sort this within SIMs

Hi I'm at the Pastoral Promotion stage of setting up next year in SIMs. Validate Group memberships has been running for 1h 25m. I remember it being a lengthy process, but not this long. Is it just a case of waiting it out or could there be other issues here?

Hi Haven't come across this before. We have student in Y10 who took Art in Y9 and was assigned a GCSE target grade. He changed subject and no longer takes Art. His target grade was removed using View/Edit Result History. I'm running some Individual reports and a line keeps pulling through for this student with his Art target grade on. When I go to a template that contains his targets, the cell for his Art target is empty but when I click on the cell the target grade is still there but is greyed out and I can't remove it as normal. Any help would be gratefully received.

Thank you for the responses. Interesting that you talk about government baselines. No cohort has gone through yet with scaled scores, how are they arriving at baselines? I suspect the same way that everybody else is - making them up That's another story though. Been asked to produce FFT estimates for Y7 and that's what I'm going to do Cheers

Hi Hope this is the right place to ask this. Quite new to FFT. Used the FFT procedures to import our new Y7 students into FFT Aspire from SIMs. Gone through the matching and checking stages and everything has gone smoothly. Anybody got any idea how long it takes FFT to generate new estimate grades for Y7 at the start of the year? I have updated other students in other years and their estimate grades appeared overnight. Is it something that takes a while longer for new Y7? Cheers

Hi I have templates going back 10 years for staff who no longer work in the school. What's the proicedures for deleting unwanted templates? The follow up is how do I delete unwanted Aspects/Result Sets/Grade sets etc etc Is there a way to find out which templates an Aspect is included in? Hope that makes sense! Cheers

Hi I am looking to create a marksheet that includes a coulmn for attendances between two dates (typically half terms). I have a very roundabout method that involves Excel and Import Data but I'm looking to streamline the whole process Does anybody have a neat way of doing this within SIMs that doesn't need me to export/import data from Excel? Cheers

Hi It's my first run though on this and I can't see any way that I can diffentiate bewteen week A and week B of an interleaved timetable? Has anybody got any experience of this? Cheers

Sorted. Probably a more elegant way than this but: Select an outgoing Y11 class List comes up blank. Use Settings from here to alter date to next academic year Select classes

Hi Is there a quick way to issue set lists for next year's timetable from SIMS? I've tried Class Lists and setting the date forward and that doesn't work. I am in 2107/18 as my SIMS Academic Year. I'm sure there's a quick way to do this, but I can't find it! Cheers
