  1. Thanks for the replies so far guys. Knew I could count on you! Windows 7 Ent only for the time being... I had tried that but no joy. Everything I've found online seems to suggest needing to manually install the AACS files to allow this to work...further investigation needed I think...
  2. Hi All, Apologies if this has been asked before & I've skipped over it! I've been asked by out Media Studies dept to source a couple of Blu-Ray players to allow them to play movies. We had a couple of internal Blu-Ray drives kicking about that I've bought enclosures for but I've now run into the problem of software that will enable the Blu-Rays to play. The drives came with an old version of Cyberlink 7 that seems to be stuck in a loop looking for updates. TL: DR have any of you guys come up against this issue before? What playback software do you use in school? Cheers, AJ
  3. I had a feeling this may be the case, just by them having removed the tickbox. Thanks for your help with this though. Much appreciated! I might have a play around with the MSI & see if I can get any results this way
  4. How strange. We're using Make. In the long run yes HKCU settings will be deployed by GPP but while testing (on a single machine) I'm manually adding these
  5. Hi Arthur, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this does not disable the Welcome screen for me. Have you got this working on the 2016 version?
  6. Sunset Overdrive is free at the moment & a is a good laugh. Can't beat free fun!
  7. Hi All, I've been looking into updating our version of SketchUp from V8 to 2016 & so far so good. The only problem I've run up against so far is disabling the Welcome Splash screen. In v8 we used a registry fragment to disable this: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\SketchUp8\WelcomeDialog] "ShowOnStartup"=dword:00000000 Adapting this & applying it to the new version does not hide the dialog & I'm not finding anything particularly helpful with a bit of Google-Fu. A couple of solutions that involve using 3rd party software but I'd like to avoid these if possible. Any hints or tips greatly appreciated! Cheers, AJ
  8. Same here. Slowly making my way through the campaigns picking up all the skulls & collectibles. That seems to be the time consuming bit!
  9. The best collectors edition I bought (although at a massive discount through my cousin) was the Halo 3 Legendary edition. It still has pride of place on my shelf all these years later! Nothing has come close to beating it so far...My Arkham City one came close but no doughnut!
  10. Darksoth = Darksoth (Who'd have guessed eh?) Currently playing Forza Horizon 2 & GTAV but that may change with Arkham Knight on the way...
  11. Just ordered some AF Platenclene to try so we'll see how that goes. Thanks for the suggestion @Boredguy.
  12. Thanks for the response @Boredguy. I'll give this a go. I don't suppose you've had any experience with cleaning the rollers as an alternative to straight up replacing them have you? If so, what did you use? Cheers, AJ
  13. Hi Guys, I'm having trouble with a Kyocera 1350DN in that it keeps jamming. When opened up I find that the paper has either not picked up or is just slightly in to the feed path, not having reached the registration sensor. I can't see any obvious scraps of paper lodged over any sensors. Printing from the MP tray works fine with no jams at all. As far as I can see, it all looks good so I'm getting a bit frustrated now. Any advice or tips you guys could provide would be a great help & may save my sanity for another day! Thanks in advance, AJ
  14. Ah I never played Origins. Didn't hear many positive things about it. The 2 from Rocksteady are awesome though. The best super-hero game in years I think...
  15. Yeah it should be awesome, although I'll be playing it on my Xbox One! Still a ways off yet but considering it was supposed to be a launch title for the One (IIRC) not too much longer to wait!
  16. I'm sure you guys have seen this already but just in case: Are you as excited for this as I am? I'm a huge fan of the previous 2 Arkham titles so I really hope this is a fitting end to the trilogy!
  17. We use RoomBookingSystem.co.uk. It can be set up to pull timetables direct from SIMS, although we generate a report on SIMS, save that as a .csv & then import that.
  18. Hi All, We've been asked to package up a bit of software called DPScope for our science dept and it's proving to be a bit of a...problem! The installer comes in 3 parts: a Setup.exe, a DPScope.CAB and a Setup.LST. I've currently got a batch file that calls the setup.exe file using the command 'start "" /w "%~dp0setup.exe" /sc:\DPScopeSetup.log'. When this is run it doesn't ask for any input but it does flash up a window as it unpacks the contents of the .cab file and as it installs. This installer doesn't accept '/silent' or '/verysilent' switches and does not allow me to create an answer file. Long story short, I'm looking for tips on how to make this install silently so I can deploy it via SCCM. Any tips/tricks/recommendations to give up & move on would be greatly received! Thanks in advance. AJ
  19. Hi all, I'm AJ & I work at a secondary school in Buckinghamshire! This is my first real ICT job & the forums have already proved priceless so thought I'd register to try to repay the favour! Outside of my office I'm a gamer both on Xbox & PC (Gamertag: Darksoth) so hopefully there are a few allies to be made here as well!
