I brought my Mrs the M8 and she loves it, all of us in our house use HTC, my two year old daughter has got a dummy HTC M7 too!
-
This any good? And yes I think I might get. Dot view case [emoji108] Couldn't get it on the M7, you can only get the dot view for the m8&9 That's the back of my M7
-
[ATTACH]29733[/ATTACH] @Gardinho, At work at the mo, so will get pic of M8 later but that's the back of my M7, I've not ever had a case on it either! Just look at it!
-
And yes there is a very good flash light built. My M7 has three different levels of light. It's more useful that you think. I turned the power off in my home the other night as the light fitting had Broke, the light is brilliant!

Ah sorry yes you can do that notification screen with the new lollipop update on HTC, I do quite like that myself, yes that's how it is on the new update. Sorry didn't quite understand you. @sonofsanta

I would recommend getting the M8 as it is still a top class phone, and for that price go for it. And I'm lost with the notification thing? HTC have its own version of Android (sense) and they are all different. And with the lumia, I think they have taken the same approach as apple and are very limited to what you can do. ( not for certain) but From a quick experience that's the feeling I get. 23 a month ain't bad though. Neither is 28 for the HTC though?

I know I had the tough decision of deciding and I do really like the S6 but for me that bad experience put me off a bit. Right now it's HTC, and it might, but I doubt it will change my mind.
-
It is, nothing to complicated, but still has the style and the customising factors in android.
-
That's what I ended up doing at one point, but I've never had to do it with HTC. Like a say it's a shame really cause they do make good phones just that experience put me off slightly. So I may as well go for the better looking and the quicker one.

Silver is the way to go! And yes I'll get you a picture of it, the m8 isn't mine it's my Mrs' I got us both on HTC [emoji108] And @Arthur it could be due to that but even still the touchwiz does use a lot of bloat ware and it lags so much. I've taken preference over HTC and its a shame really cause Samsung have made brilliant phones since.

Here's me looking at all you enthusiastic runners and I can't run to save my life. I'll stick to cycling! Credit to you all!
-
You can see it slightly but I thought that with the s3 but after a short amount of time it slowed down a lot, only had it a year and had enough of it, over not noticed that with the HTC at all! Pure brilliance.
-
Oh and I totally agree with @Joanne, I do not find the need to root my HTC. Sorry for my roll of comments making up lost time!
-
@Gardinho And yes I'd be quite happy to guinea pig the M9 and report back but you will have to wait till April, but I'll report back here once I'd made a decision!
-
No messing about get straight to the point, HTC Don't waste no time
-
Me personally I tried iPhone for about two weeks, when orange used to offer you a trial, back before it was EE and all that, Now I don't rate them, they are nice and well built but it's the customising and so much about the android phones that Apple can't do, they are to locked down. I've been android for at least 6 years now, if not more, ever since the very first Samsung Galaxy s phone
-
That's the problem I can't pre order it !!! My contract upgrade is due for 2nd April! Spoke to CPW they said because the phone will already be released when I am due an upgrade they can't do it! So don't get the free dot view case either! So got to wait three more days then order it! Quite annoying really. And yes I'm sure I would be happy with the s6 but my question is how long for? Would it slow down like my s3 did, so I'm going for HTC on the 2nd april

Then there is the battery life on the Samsung that quicker processor better camera will destroy that 2550 battery, the m9 I think has a 2800 and it makes a hell of a difference, And yes if I'm honest I hardly use my camera. But the 20.7 MP camera sounds good enough to me, and samsungs is only 16MP which nowadays is standard.

Word of advice M9 I'm not sure I can handle how slow the Samsung phones get, I only had my s3 a year in 2012 when it was released 2013 had the M7 and it's been great, not lag, not slowed down mass amount of bloat ware the OS is quick. And the build quality is gorgeous!
-
@Gardinho are you considering a new phone then?
-
Me personally it was a toss up between the s6 and the HTC m9 I think I have decided on the m9 As Samsung phones is yes very nice but when I had the s3 it was full of unnecessary features and this made the phone slow down so much it was unbearable, and with the massive touchwiz OS it was slow, I've had the HTC m7 for nearly two years and it's still as quick as it was out the box. THe build quality is beautiful and the Sense OS is quite sleek too. It would be nice to try something different but you just get used to some things. And no the 55 ce benchmark temperature I doubt it's true. I have noticed my HTC get quite hot in my hand but it's never burnt through my skin! And that's only for a short period of heavy usage!
-
Yes that's great cheers, and yes I know they are pricey, I have budgeted myself to around 2k for everything, so I presume he wants more than that for it so I wouldn't worry asking him. Thanks through [emoji108] I have spotted quite a nice carerra for half my budget which I'm keeping a close eye on. Or maybe even a Saracen MTB.
-
The last Samsung I had was the s3 and it was okay for a bit, the build quality not so good, and back then I think it only had 1GB ram and did start to slow down dramatically, the new s6 looks very nice but again, Samsung have probably rammed it full of features that aren't exactly used often. And as for Apple... I'm not a big fan... I'm android all the way. And personally I haven't rooted my HTC as i didn't want to risk bricking it, and in all fairness I am happy with it as it is. I haven't felt the need to root mine. The HTC phones feel lovely to hold and use and the speed!... Well mine still runs like I did when it first come out the box! I can't actually think of a fault of the top of my head. They are Brilliant phones. That's just my opinion see what @Joanne thinks.
-
I don't mind paying for the prices, I mean I will probably go onto contract anyway, it's just easier for me that way, but yes your right I mean the money's good so why shouldn't the phone be? You want the best for what you are paying really don't you, which is why the HTC is my choice, I think it's well worth the money, and 43 a month on vodaphone is fine for me when I've been paying 45 a month for the HTC m7! Annoying really!
