I have not been impressed with it so far, but loved SG1, took a while to get into SG:A but now love it. Hope SG:U turns up a notch pretty soon.

Or perhaps do a Start > Run > sfc /scannow With a OS cd handy. Looks like some dll files could possibly be corrupt. -

Haha, sorry about the confusion. I didn't make the video, I was contracted out as part of a team to put the IT infrastructure in place. Yes the IT support is sourced out. There is a number of technicians onsite (3 I think) but jobs are logged via a Kaseya helpdesk system, which is based in the North East. The unisex toilets where as much of a surprise when me and my colleagues saw them too. I saw the building take shape when it was time to furnish the place. The speed in which it happened whas phenominal. -
This is where I spent half of the 6 weeks hoidays, setting up the desktops et al. Beautiful school imo The North Somerset Times - Video: Nailsea School tour

Keyspan USA-19QW, USA-19W Driver Download Think you will have to be logged in before you click the link. Thanks for the swift response.
-
Good afternoon my fellow Edugeekers. One of my schools is having loads of problems with a particular model of Keyspan adapter, specifically trying to locate the driver for it. I am just wondering if anybody has the USA-19QW type in their school/s and could put a link up to the XP driver? I have scoured the net, and the only place I can find the driver, is on driverguide, but I have ran out of my downloads, so I cannot access it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I recently had a simmilar problem to this. I had to reregister a dll file, and once that was done, it worked a charm. I will try to find it out for you. I think this is the daddy regsvr32 msxml3.dll -
One of my schools gave me a selection box of the Terry's Chocolate Orange range, me thinks it was left over from Christmas. My school today have given me a card with a fantastic personal message and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2007 by Banrock Station. 3rd bottle since I started working here. I don't have the heart to tell them I don't like wine. But it will be drunk

One thing that happened to me was that my motherboard needed flashing/firmware updating before it would pick the processor up. Thats another thing to try. It done exactly as you described.

Like I said, I know the basics of what I need to know, If I don't know something, I have other members of my team that I can fall back on. I just want (and have now got, thanks to Bossman) something that will give me new info for other things I could implement for a more reliable user domain. -

I had better learn fast then . I will be reading up on it when I go to Bristol for 3 weeks. Got an install there for 1000+ machines to be set up on desktops. Just for when I run out of money for liquid refreshment on the evenings. -

Good afternoon. I use AD in my day-to-day tasks when onsite at schools. I have a basic understanding on how to use functions such add/edit users etc. What I am after is a tutorial or guide, explaining AD whilst providing helpful tips. Just wondering if anyone has come across PDF on using the AD Users and Computers?

Hey. A little problem I have at a few sites: Old shared printers are still appearing on the network. One pc logs on, hover over the print icon in word, and it comes up with a printer thats been decommissioned for several years. I have checked all batch files for the users, checked in the printers and they aint installed. When I bring the printer list, its not listed there, and then the icon will appear blank. Also when setting a default printer in the admin profile, the user profile dejects this and piks the next one for some reason. Any help in removing the ghost printers would be appreciated, thanks.

What make/model printer is it? Is it a MFD or a plain desktop? Questions are useless without the relevant info provided

Digi Cam audio playback
the_one_that_cant replied to the_one_that_cant's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
Thanks for some answers, however, I won't be at the school until Tuesday next week, but will bare it in mind. They are producing some media to put on at a show in our local Cineworld. -
Afternoon everyone. One of the Primary schools that I look after have decided to use the digicams and movie maker to create their own stuff. Some of the stuff they have created is fantastic. However, they are having problems with the transfer from camera to pc. On the playback via the camera the sound is fine. Only when the avi file is transfered via USB to the pc, the audio is really faint and you are barely able to hear whats been recorded. The cameras are Toshiba PA3620E 1CAM. I have updated the codecs on the pc's (divx and klite) but still seem to not want to be loud. Would really appreciate a fix for this if anyone has one. Thanks, Mickey.

Is it something as simple as a batch file in all users startup folder? -

I got called up in May 2008, however a week after recieving the summons, I got a phonecall saying that they had called up too many people, and would I like to defer my time, so I agreed to Nov 2008. I got called up to two cases, but never made it to verdict, as one of the cases the defendant pleaded guilty and the other case, one of the jurors realised halfway through the case that he knew of the reputation of the defendant by 'nickname' and that had us all thrown out. Spent two weeks near enough playing Champ Man 01/02. It was sweet. Bacon bun and a cup of coffee every morning at no cost, life was bliss. However 2 days I wasn't needed in, so I had to go to work. My office was literaly 30 seconds from the courts -
Morning all. One of my schools have purchased Bodywise and Worldwise, both made by Sherston Publishing. I have installed bodywise to the network using the Sherston Network Installer, and that is working fine. The problem is installing Worldwise. I go through exactly the same procedure as I did for Bodywise, however, when it comes to installing it (we use a share L:\\(publisher)\(title) ). It gets to the bit where it says it installing, however a few seconds into it I get a 'Severe' warning - 'File copy Failed' This happens when I point the installer to both the cd drive and also the folder in which I have copied the cd to on the desktop of the server. The cd installs locally fine and works, however, if I install it on to our network, missing out the sherston network installer, it installs it all, however when I run the program, the splash screen comes up, but then frames come up too and says the 'Internet Explorer cannot display the page'. The cd cannot be dodgy, as I have said, it works if I install it locally. All permissions are set correct. Anyone have any ideas? *I have tried both MSTSC and logging onto the server to do this.
