Hello - thanks for the replies. We have an abundance of spare IPs so that isn't the problem. I've also taken an iPad home and it connects fine to my wireless so the iPad is fine. Don't know why 296 iPads will connect and suddenly they won't. My next step is to reboot the Meru controller and APs tonight.

Hello all, I've got 300 iPads all of them connected to the wifi when they were setup. All working for the past 18 months. Suddenly I have 4 which will not connect. Nothing has changed as the other 296 all still connect and work fine. I have done factory resets, supervised and unsupervised using Apple Configurator but still no luck. The apple support have been useless so far. The message when you connect simply says 'unable to connect to 'WiFi' Using the iPhone config utility console I get the attached log. device log1.txt Does that make sense to anyone? Or has anyone had this before and found a solution? Rob

Hello guys, I've been asked to come up with a list of music that we can play over the tannoy system as pupils arrive in the morning. The example I was given was the Pharrell Williams Happy song. I did in place upgrades on both DCs last week. Upgraded from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2. Couldn't have been easier! AD and DOMAIN Prep then run the upgrade. Everything was back up and running in about 30 mins. Backed up the data server VMs using Veeam and updated them from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2 from home. So easy.

All done and dusted! Used update manager and all went without a hitch. Thanks for the information! EDIT - I don't like the Web Client :-(

Thanks for that. I've found update manager. I've checked my licences again and I have the following: vSphere 5 Essentials Plus x1 1 INSTANCE(s) vCenter Server 5 Essentials x1 6 CPU(s) I have 2 ESXi hosts both running 4.1 - does that make sense to anyone (looking at the above)? Shouldn't I have 2 vSphere 5 Essentials Plus?

Hello, Has anyone got any experience of updating VM from 4.1 to 5.5? Am I kidding myself by thinking it is as simple as booting each ESXi host to the update CD and running the update? Does the vCenter server need to be updated first and is that just a running setup from the CD and upgrading? I am licensed for vSphere 5 Essentials Plus and vCenter Server 5 Essentials I will be updating to server 2012 soon and would like to get the VM update done sharpish so I can concentrate on the 2012 stuff. Hey guys, Just tried to request a new password for a website which I registered for using my old work e-mail account. When I say old work email i mean i left the old place 6 months ago as Network Manager and moved to another school. As I was Network Manager at the old place my e-mail account was a full admin for the domain as well as other things. So I request the password and realise it has gone to the old account. So I try to login on the off chance (not expecting to to work) and it lets me in with all the same admin rights I used to have. Not very secure and the new NM hasn't done a good job there!! Do I notify the school or say nothing - if i let them know can it come back on my because I logged in? Thanks, Rob

I am using fog to image my machines. Pulling the network cable out is not an option for the pupils - Impero doesn't like it :-) I will look into the BOIS version to see if there is an update.

Hi Guys, I'm having big problems with USB keyboards and mice. When the machine boots and gets to the login screen it is not a gurantee that the keyboard and mouse will work. I'm running Windows 7 across all machines. Sometimes an unplug and plug back in will get it to work but other times it is taking 2-3mins to find and install the drivers. Pupils are reaching to the back of the machine to unplug them which is something I don't want. I can go in to a classroom and find a few mice or keyboards plugged in to the front of the machine or completely unplugged. I have tried different keyboards and mice but it seems to make no difference. Even an MS mouse and keyboard can take a while to install. Cheers for any replies

When I browse my computer within HAP i cannot view my home drive. I have changed the properties so it reads %homedir% but it doesn't show in extended or basic. I have mapped a drive using the HAP UI and that works perfectly. All other aspects of HAP are working fine. I have attached screenshots. Thanks, Rob

I am using eduweep 2.2 but i can't update the signatures. The software is installed on the server. I have put in the proxy server details and auth details. However I get the following message: Unable to contact primary and secondary update servers. The remote server returned an error (407) Proxy Authentication Required. I have tired hostname / ip for the proxy server. I have tried username / domain\username. Any suggestions guys? Rob
