How many servers are needed for RDS set up?

I am running 8.1 so should direct access be the way forward? If my DA server is sat in a DMZ. Am I correct in thinking 1 Nic to the DMZ and 1 Nic to the internal network? Or just 1 Nic to firewall, firewall connected to internal network (as well as firewall connected to router). Firewall will route traffic through to the internal network for authentication etc?

Hello, To provide staff with access to SIMS etc from home would that be a direct access or RDS solution? Based on it being used by a max or maybe 10 staff? Thanks, Rob

Hello, We are having problems when broadcasting a teacher machine to student machines. The size of the class is only 24. All machines appear online in Impero, the teacher broadcasts her screen and not all students get it. The screen may go white and stay white. When the broadcast is cancelled the screens that are white remain white and can only be restored by shutting down the machine. If by some miracle all machines receive the broadcast when it is cancelled not all the machines are released. I have tried multiple laptops/workstations. All the impero folders, files and services are part of the exception for our Anti-Virus. Firewall is turned off. It happens on both the Mac and Windows sides. Also on another note if a student right clicks then presses Alt+F4 they can end the broadcast themselves!!!! Any help would be great as i'm banging my head against the wall here! :-) Oh - i'm running v4.126. Rob

Going to be working on this issue this afternoon when i'm back at the site. I'm going to go down the route of SMC and NVRAM resets initially as these seem the easiest options and I don't want to get too technical if I dont need to. A few reboots of the machines will give me an indication if its a fix as we usually have 2 or 3 each lesson that don't boot.

Hello, I have a suite of Macs all running Yosemite. Random machines fail to boot, the apple logo appears with the loading bar, which gets half way and freezes. It is so annoying as the full room can boot then the next time 2 or 3 will freeze. I've updated the firmware using https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1618?locale=en_GB which I thought may solve it but it is still doing the same randomly. The only solution is to hold the power button and reboot, but sometimes you need to do that a few times. Any suggestions? Thanks, Rob

Hello, Installed the Impero Chrome extension on students accounts. All good until students try to log in to show my homework using google SSO. When completing the login a page appears that simply displays 'Not Found'. Remove the Imepro extension and all works well. How can I configure impero to allow this? ROb

Hello - I have Impero installed on a suite of Macs. Impero works fine when logged on as a local admin user. I can see it in the console and can remote, broadcast screen etc. As soon as a student logs on Impero does not load (not visible on the taskbar at the top). Any ideas? Rob

Anyone using Cisco ASA 5515-X Firewall?

Hello, Can anyone recommend a firewall or let me know which you are using? I am looking to install a firewall to enable us to host our own website and provide remote access for staff. Essentially fencing off the internal network creating a DMZ for the web server, remote access servers etc. I would also need someone of sign off the config when it is setup to satisfy the ISP/LA.
