I have a DNS entry of the server yes but not with domain after it. In forward look up and a pointer to the server including domain name in reverse look up? I do have 2 DHCP servers does this matter?

In my windows deployment services I have respond to all clients computers (known or unknown) and PXE responce delay to 0. onthe dhcp server i have under server options put in 066 boot server host name server name and domain. Also started "WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto Discover" service which I read else where. But still no joy

Thanks Can you enlighten me more? I do not have DHCP working on the deployment server it is on another server in the domain does this matter? is there something I need to do on the DHCP server or the deploment server?

Hi I have set up MDT to use to deloy my windows 7 enviroment but new to all of this and learning as I go. I have finished the install of MDT and I think all is ok for me to start testing but when I f12 on a client it tryes to boot but gets no where. I have set up windows deployment services and have some lite touch boot images. Is there something more I need to do? does this work over Vlans? Server in a diferent one to the client? Could someone help and point me in the right direction Thanks

Hi After installing office 2010 which is all fine. Every time a different network user logs on it goes through the how do you want to up date ect process. How do I stop this? Possibley GPO but can anyone point me to where? also remove the folder sync option in my computer? and finaly want to leave office 2003 on systems testing seems fine but again get configuration starting with each user can this be stopped? Got straight from Sibelius them selves. yes did research and there was nothing they do not give out this info untill it is out.

Is the right or is this wrong got the latest vertion of Sibelius in July v6 just to find out that in August v7 comes out. So i ask if I can have a upgrade free to 7 seen as just got 6 and not even been used it the school as its the summer. what was I told basicly no pay out another £1000 like I did in July to get the latest. Yes 200 hours full time is the crazy bit. Can I work 200 hours a year and be classed as full time and still keep my current wage I dont think so full time is at least 30 hours a week to me, and yes before comments come back I do do more than 30 hours a week

Thank I am aware of that but 200 hours is still low in my mind I mean we have Music peri's teachers that only work about 10 hours a week but have access to computers.

does anyone have any clean new GPO setup for restricting win 7 stations via 2008 r2 servers. Yes I know not all will be good for evey school but somewhere to start would be great. This all sounds great for the budget as along as they don't hike up the price 1st. However one thing I think that is compleat madness is full time member of staff classed as 200 hours per year. Our cleaners do more than that surely this goal post need to be moved? Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy?

Dont we all just love Microsoft and how they make things so complicated. After further investigations I have found out the following Currently I have SharePoint designer as a blot-on to my schools agreement which allows me to then use expression web as I have a Software Assurance in place before SharePoint Designer became free. Which in turn means, I can continue to use FrontPage 2003 as expression web is the downgradable licence for FrontPage 2003. However when my schools agreement expires in September for me to continue to use FrontPage 2003 I would require to get the schools agreement bolt-on of expressions web as this is the downgrade path for frontPage 2003. SharePoint Designer has no downgrade path to FrontPage 2003 even though it is now free and would have been nice for my budget. Thanks to you all for your help in this as your comments pointed me in the right direction for my research. And Thank you to Microsoft for not helping cash strapped schools by not allowing FrontPage to have become free. Yes I am aware there are free alternatives but the powers that be want to use Microsoft products

well I have now had two quotes 1 from Softcat 1 from Ramesys They both say that FrontPage is now Free as it has been Replaced by SharePoint Designer and is downloadable form Microsofts website. Download details: SharePoint Designer 2007

According to what I have read both SharePoint designer and Expression Web are both replacing FrontPage. I have just had a quote in from a supplier saying FrontPage is now free, Saving me 2K. But it just seems to good to be true.

Hi I am currently looking into renewing my schools agreement. So all is simple apart from the Fontpage add on. Is Frontpage 2003 Now free as Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer which is the new name for Frontpage is now being given away free. SharePoint Designer 2007 is available as license-restricted freeware. So does that mean under the schools agreement I can still carry on using FrontPage 2003 but no longer have to pay for it under the agreement as a bolt on? Can anyone confirm this Thanks

Hi Of late I have been haveing more and more students coming in haveing to have there roming profiles reset dur to them not working. This must be down to the time allowed when the workstaion is contacting the server. does anyone have any idea what could be coursing this or what I could do to try and sort this out? XP workstations 2003 server.
