  1. We have a number of Sony Vaio (SVF1421B4E) laptops looking for a loving new home - £540 ex VAT. Intel Core i7-3537U 2 GHz Processor 14" HD Display 6GB RAM 500 GBB HDD Windows 8 Pro DVD RW Bluetooth Webcam Give me a nudge if you're interested!
  2. That is the stuff of nightmares.
  3. All of them up to X-2 but to varying degrees, my friend had them all and spent many an hour trying to win me over. I can appreciate that they must be awesome for them to have such a cult following. It wasn't so much that I thought they weren't good, they just didn't hold my attention (or get me hooked) like other games have. I couldn't tell you why.
  4. @spookyspoof Like it! Think I need to add some photos to mine.
  5. Really don't like any of the FF games.
  6. You should now all order additional screens from me to make me feel less depressed about my lowly one screen set up.
  7. Desk ala Sam. One screen, one phone, a multitude of folders!
  8. I'm composing an email to the boss explaining that I'm suffering from Edugeek induced tech-inferiority and thus really need an extra two screens in order to continue to work productively.
  9. Hehe, I went for the first run I'd been on probably since school when I was living in Cornwall at Uni. Was amazed with how easy I found the jog to the beach, decent speed, not feeling overly tired, feeling pretty smug with my completely unexpected fitness finesse... then of course I had to turn round and was faced with the enormous, steep Cornish hills I'd just cruised down. Not quite so fun. I didn't venture out for a run any time soon after that one!
  10. I feel so inferior with my single screen.
  11. Yeah, if you don't have the treadmill on at least a slight incline it's more or less like running downhill.
  12. Unfortunately I actually live about a half an hour drive away from Maldon. Thanks a lot for looking though.
  13. I'm looking forward to Fitbit bringing out a new version of the Force. It had to be recalled because it was giving people nasty rashes (eeep) - I think that has step incline, watch etc. built in as well.
  14. Thank you! Had it a month now and Friday was the first time I looked at my tummy and felt as though it's starting to look flat(ish) for the first time in about 18 months. So good to finally be seeing some results. If you'd have told me a month and a half ago that I'd been exercising daily and emailing people about local running groups I'd have wet myself laughing. The fitbit will count running as an "active minute" or a "very active minute" but you can also record it as a separate exercise activity altogether if you prefer. I was doing that originally but found that it confused my Fitbit and it would then flick between two different step numbers etc. and it wound me up so now I just let it count them as steps/active minutes.
  15. I'm hoping I can find one that suits me - some sort of beginners group would be ideal especially as I'm yet to do anything outside of the comfort (unbearable sauna like heat) of the garage. I'm confident there's one out there, saw so many of them last week, just need to hunt them down!
  16. That sounds so ideal.
  17. Found one that starts just down the road and dropped them an email. Thank you! I've been treadmill running now for about a month though I'm not sure I'd call myself a runner! I would really like some chums to run with though especially after seeing so many groups out and about last week. I'll check out Parkrun, thank you!
  18. Still completely obsessed with my Fitbit. Lost 4lbs last week (probably a little too much, I don't really have that much weight to lose) as I stepped up my target to 15k and kept an eye on what I was eating. Made a real difference that my family were on holiday so I was in complete control of what I was eating as well as doing all the cleaning etc. after work.
  19. Kept coming across running groups last week after work during my evening jaunt to Tesco to pick up dinner. How do you go about joining one of these things? Had a Google and couldn't find anything on there about groups in my area. Do I just start marauding about the place after work during the week and collar someone? The treadmill is getting tiresome.
  20. Yeah I think that's my main issue to be honest. I just don't have the time to make stuff happen. My last free weekend was in mid June and I don't have another one now until September so unless it's somewhere I can walk to on my lunch break or after work there isn't really anything I can do!
  21. Wish I had some enemy action, everything here is already green for miles around!
  22. I've got so much more done! Much less distracting, but similarly, my boss isn't a fan of the idea. Hoping I'll be able to show just how much I've got done and be able to convince him that it'd be doable maybe one day every few weeks or something.
  23. Been a bit underwhelmed so far but I think it's probably because all I can do within walking distance is hack friendly portals and I'm too busy to jump in a car to do anything more meaningful. Still really like the concept though.
  24. If anyone is looking to get some new tablets on board and fancies the Samsungs or anything else Windows or Android please let me know. These are great tablets and we have some really good pricing on ASUS kit at the minute as well!
  25. Half hour to and from work for me. It's never really bothered me but I've been working from home a bit lately and I love being able to be productive at lunch time (do a food shop, clean out the animals, have a quick run, clean the kitchen) and the extra half hour you gain at the end of the day makes such a difference. Working standing up too! So not a fan of being sat down for long periods of time.
