  1. Hi not having a problem with the link at all? Website is hosted externally, so not a system problem here! Have you gone direct to the website?
  2. Its actually our LEA that enforces the ISA page, and we're moving away from the domain\username... So are you interested in the job or just commenting on the systems that we have in place?!
  3. We are currently advertising my role here at Sawston Village College, Cambridge as I am moving on in a few weeks. If you are interested in the job, and would like to know anything else please message me. Further details and application forms can be found at: Sawston Village College
  4. Hi all Just wondering what other schools are using for network and server monitoring for performance, and failures? I have a few different tools but nothing great and would be nice to have everything together and preferably using a cheap or even better free set of tools! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Jenny
  5. Thanks GrumbleDook. I'm looking at both subject specific apps and ones that could work in all subjects like turning the iPad into a workspace that pupils can pass round with it displaying through the projector. I have found some subjects easier than others, I've found some good ones for Art, like Brushes, and I've been told there's a good pottery app too. Science, I love the Frog and Rat dissection apps and The Elements. Not being a teacher myself it's hard to know which areas can be improved with the iPad, but I at least want to find a few apps for each subject so I can get them started and excited about using it.
  6. Can anyone recommend some good iPad apps that teachers are using in the classroom or a website that has some good recommendations? We've recently bought an iPad for school use, to see how we can integrate it into teaching and learning either as a teaching tool or a learning tool for the pupils or both.. or neither! We also want it to add another dimension to the classroom, rather than just using it for the excitement of using a new bit of technology and just replicating what you can easily do on a laptop. So far I've only installed lots of free apps but nothing has really excited me yet.
  7. Yes have exported, will email it to you once i have your email.. Thank you!!
  8. Do you mean on the "identity" page on the Configuration Profiles page? Everything is filled in on that page. Still nothing happens when I click a device and click install
  9. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.. but I'm trying to lock down an Ipad via this utility but nothing happens when I click "Install" under Configuration Profile with the Ipad connected via USB. Anyone had success with this?
  10. It always seems to be going wrong for me which is why I want to get rid of it! I also get frustrated on how long it takes to load all the users. I don't think I've ever cleared out the old data, there will be a couple of years worth in there. I'm purging it now.. but its taking a very long time. I'm getting a lot of faulting application PMPAdmin errors in the event viewer, it doesn't tell me much though apart from it's crashed!
  11. Hi all We have been using PMP for quite some time, but have got so fed up with it not working i'm going to change to something else. However in the meantime i have not renewed the support and now have an issue with it typical!! It keeps crashing, just disappears and I have to open it again. Secondly the reports won't open it just keeps asking me do I want to save or open pmp_clientbilling.htm.. I may need to get in touch with them for support... just wondered if anyone had seen this issue?? Thanks, Jenny
  12. Are you running it with local admin rights? Or try running "SIMSApplicationSetup.exe" to install clients, as the SIMSINST calls this file. I've had a lot of problems with Windows 7 but not XP.

Jenny
  15. Orange safeguard deems this page as only being suitable for over 18's! I might be able to get to it over WiFi later but not via 3G
  16. Salary correction, it's £19,621 to £21,519

  18. Yes I have tried this already, the user does get the full OWA, but still no signature options.
  19. Hi This is really bugging me, but I have switched all students back to the normal version of OWA 2007 as opposed to the lite version as they need to create signatures for their ICT Lessons. However, signature options are not appearing in the Options, Messaging menu. I've checked it's enabled in Exchange Management Console, I've even run Set-OWAVirtualDirectory -Identity "server\owa (default web site)" -SignaturesEnabled $True and resetIIS. But the menu is still not showing signature. I have only tested a few accounts including my own which isn't showing... yet my techinician does get the signature options!?! Any help would be most appreciative. Thanks Jenny
  20. This isn't working randomly it's not changing the entries on the "10" OU, its running in the "06" OU and then there's big red errors on each one complaining about commit changes. If anyone can help let me know I can post the script and errors. Thanks J
  21. That looks like the job! I'll give it a go. Thank you very much!!
  22. Can anyone help? When we set up student emails, we direct them to an address list called “None”, so that they cannot access the global address list, and other staff and student address lists within Exchange. At the moment I do this manually within ADSIedit.msc but I need to do this to 240 students! So I need an LDAP script to edit active directory within Exchange. I'm pretty much next to useless at scripting, and definitely know nothing about LDAP scripting.. does anyone have one they can share at all? The distinguished name to our address list is: CN=None,CN=All Address Lists,CN=Address Lists Container,CN=Sawstonvc,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=sawstonvc,DC=local This dn then needs to be copied into the attribute msExchQueryBaseDN of every pupil. I have a list of each pupil which I could add/amend to the script after, but the distinguished name to the year 7 students are : CN=xxxx,OU=10,OU=Pupils,OU=Domain Users,DC=sawstonvc,DC=local Thanks Jenny
  23. Does anyone know if this can be done per database or group? I want to restrict all Pupils to use OWA lite but not Staff. Staff and Pupils are on seperate databases. Thanks Jenny
  24. That was the whole script. No idea if it works in Windows 2008 though. I'm surprised that you need a script to do this in server 2008.
  25. Thanks for your post robertss, we've now got it all sorted. We did have to redo our self certified SAN certificate with the help of SSL Certificates DigiCert Digital SSL Certificate Authority and added all the necessary names to it. This didn't solve all of our problems though, we had to rebuild our offline address book, autodiscover and change the out of office URL.. but all working now! After installing the new certificate onto the Ipaq's they are now synchronising too, what a successful day!
