    ok thanks for the feedback, We also use an apple tv in some classes but the ease of use with chromebooks to cast to screens and whiteboards is what we were after.

    We have gone for Arbor, been using it for almost a year and very happy with it. Made savings reducing other products such as Parentmail. Staff and parents like it.

    Do the new Chromecasts allow you to enter proxy server settings? We previously tried one to cast from our Chromebooks but there was no way to enter the school's proxy server settings. Any help appreciated.

    Just a brief update to say we have now launched our new MIS with Arbor and are very happy with it so far!

    Hi, We are in the process of comparing online Cloud based MIS systems. We have reviewed: Tribal Synergy for Schools Progresso CAPITA Learning Gateway we also reviewed iSAMS but it was too expensive for a school of our size we are still seeking information from users of the following: BROMCOM CLOUD MIS RM INTEGRIS SCHOLARPACK Are there any of you out there? Any views or experience of these systems much appreciated. cheers

    Hi Does anyone have experience of the PROGRESSO cloud based MIS? I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has used the system. thanks

    Hi we are also a small school, using Google Apps and looking for a Cloud based MIS. We have investigated Tribal's Synergy for Schools, and are looking at Progresso too. I would be interested how you get on in terms of integration with Google Apps, calendar and docs etc.

    Hi, yes will take you up on that offer! Interesting to hear from a school actually using the system. Our position is that we are comparing the costs of several add on systems to give web based access to the current MIS that will cost us additional subscriptions to systems such as TASC, compared with a complete move to TRIBAL with all of this functionality included. The cost of TRIBAL at this stage is higher, with some functionality that we want still not available, so it may be something for us in the future. cheers Liam ( email address removed by moderators.     Hi- Thanks for that response. We are still weighing up our options. The SIMS Learning Gateway seems to offer some of the web based functionality we are looking for and would be a bolt on to the existing MIS> Does anyone use this?

    Thats fine- I know they are launching it as a brand new product, we are exploring other options but integration with Google calendar is essential for us.

    Hi We are considering a move away from SIMS to a new product from TRIBAL called Synergy For Schools. Does anyone have any experience of working with this company? Also we use Google Apps for Education and want to sync our systems with the ical calendar format, anyone know anything about doing this with any other MIS products? cheers Liam
