Nick we have a 2nd domain controller aswell, but how did you realise 'it was taking over'? As for the code of conduct, its just something I wipped up. I'll see if I can dig out an electronic copy.

See I've done a gpresult on a client pc, it says it has been applied but you can clearly see it hasn't.

How do I do this?? Is it on the server or local client?

I have put in a Ctrl, Alt and Delete GPO so that users can see the Code of conduct before logging in. This has applied to some managed PC's but not all. I have tried a GPupdate force, but still nothing. It says it has applied the policy, but it hasn't. Is there a local service that needs to be started. It seems as if the local policy is over-riding the network one.

Thanks for this. Where abouts is the scsi backpane. Is it behind the fans? Can you see it without pulling the drives out? When you had to replace your fans, were both working? All our fans seem to be working fine. Cheers Chris

I'm not even sure if its a hdd issue anymore. It maybe the fan/cpu or ram issue.

We have a 3 year old viglen server which is running raid 5, and its now making a continous beep. Quite high pitched. Something is wrong and I think its going to be one of its hard-drives. This isn't good because its our data server!! Any idea's what else it could be?!

I've got one but never bring it in. I told them I needed one to configure the switches.

We do it as bat file when the user logs in and just maps the correct proxy. Good thing with that is we also have a banned internet GPO so if students need to be banned then we throw them in there as it maps a spoof proxy.

WAMP says its online. I have started all the services. When I try to access localhost its the http 400 bad request- web page cannot be displayed.

I'm accessing it direct on the webserver. Still no joy. I'm just wondering if it is clashing with our web-based library software Oliver.

I've done a fresh install of wamp but now I get 'page cannot be displayed' when I go into phpmyadmin even though I have the exception in ie.
