Have you spoke to Forensic about this? if so, what have they said? have you tried taking the client off to see if that sorts the problem?

DO you use Policy Central as well?

HI Im getting an isssue on serveral computers in one room that sometimes will not load websites or partially load websites when IE7 is run. It will eventually work when the user is logged off or IE7 is closed and re-opened. The only thing that i think it could be is the Policy Central client software that is loaded on 22 of the machines. (we previously had securus, uninstalled the client and installed the PCE client) The weird thing is that its very intermittant, sometime we will have the problem, sometimes not. Has anyone else had this problem with PCE? or seen it in another instance Many Thanks

Is it possible to put different windows 2003 domains onto the same IP Range and subnet? We have a cluster of diiferent schools on our site which all 3 of them have a fiber link back to my server room (for the Internet) and we are looking at the possibility if we can house the other schools servers in our Server Room so that they are easier to manage. Also in addition to this, utilise my systems management appliances for the other schools as they dont have anything. eg package deployment etc as this is not linked into AD Any help and advice would much appriciated.

Does Anyone use the HP 6730s Laptops? if so do anyone have the Lan Speed working at gigabit? The only driver it accepts on ours is just the Fast Ethernet one and not gigabit. We have XP on the laptop not vista. Thanks

Hi Does anyone know how i can monitor the Hard drives on an ESX 3.5 server? The servers we use is the HP DL380 G5 and it they have 2 x 72gb SAS drives. One one server, one of the drives has an orange light on the front but there was no alerts or errors in Virtual Centre or even in the ILO of the server. Thanks

I found the issue. Last week i changed the Administrator password and so DHCP was using the wrong credentials to update DNS. I typed in the new admin password and they now register

Hi DNS hs suddenly decided not to register ANY DHCP clients. The clients are on the domain but the only records that show up in DNS are servers that have a fixed IP. Interestingly yesterday, i done a DNS Scavenge and it got rid of all the DHCP ones and left the Fixed IP ones. Ive restarted both domain controllers as they both have DHCP and DNS bit its made no difference. I can ping one of the DHCP windows stations by name but it wont do an NSLOOKUP Help!!!

Im currently looking at the Dell DL2000 disk to disk backup solution powered by symantec and was wondering if anyone has one of these? They look excellent but im pretty sure the price tag will be hefty and cant help wondering if i could build my on solution for a 3rd of the price! It is basically a Dell 2950 server and a DAS unit. so does anyone have any suggestions? The Dell unit claims to offer 55% faster backup time and 49% quicker restore times so i would need my own solution to be roughly the same Thanks

Hi I think this has been brought up before but does anyone know what causes the High Collision or drop rate (Formerly Overbandwidth) Error on HP 5406zl Switches? I think other users have said check for mismatches in speeds but ive checked and everything is fine. i.e. HP Printers are set to Auto and the port in the switch is set at Auto as well. Ive even made sure that the switches are on the latest firmware. There is no consistancy in what hardware is causing it either. Errors occur with HP desktops connected, HP printers and NEC desktops. Hope someone can help as its begining to do my head it! :-) Thanks

Hi What tasks should i be doning with SQL Server to maintain the databases or manage it in general? SQL isnt my strongest point by a long way so i think nows the time to put that right! Im also getting the same issue. At first i thought it would down to nic drivers but its happening on different models of PC and even printers. I use HP 5406zl Switches with the latest firmware!

Hi During the next half term i will having VMware infrustructure installed and apparantly i need the VMware plugin for backup exec 12.5. Do i really need this as i heard from someone that unless i have this module then i will have to write a script or i wont be able to do backups or do VCB Any help on this would be much appreciated as the module costs £1290 and because i have 2 Vmware esx Servers i will have to have two of them! Thanks Guys Im looking at this one: Avocent UK -SwitchView 1000 16-port KVM Switch Im struggling to see how it works though as it has 16 VGA ports but it does have 16 usb or PS2 ports that go to the servers.
