PDF issue - I'm losing more hair - who can solve this one?
korifugi replied to kennysarmy's topic in Windows
I can't select text in it - it's almost as if it's a flat image rather than a scanned document. EDIT: If I copy the lot and paste that I get the following... -
Seconded - The Belgariad & Malloreon are both brilliant series I also liked The Elenium & Tamuli. I think I've read The Redemption of Althalus at least 10 times as well. (Although I'm not a fan of The New Gods series - they actually bored me a little)

The march continues with my 98th Platinum: South Park: The Fractured but Whole
-
Broke a platinum out of South Park: The Stick of Truth, even though it attempted to glitch on me for the post-game tidy up. Now onto The Fractured but Whole.
-
Or do they mean you get the kinks for free?

OoooooOOoooo Looks like I'll be pulling that down as soon as it lands.
-
Sounds like it was a GDPR (Gallifreyan Data Pertaining to Regenerations) breach.
-
The first one was so good that mechanics changes to the sequels was making me think the series was dead.... 4 looks exactly like everything that made the first one so awesome (although I remember shouting at the game when they Isara - the next mission I was out for blood)
-
Well, that's the Endor that, then.

You've got to Han it to him for knowing when to stop

Zero Time Dilemma is now done & dusted. Now the question is do I go back to Persona 4 Golden or FFX on the Vita?
-
Valkyria Chronicles is one of my favourite games from the early PS3 days, beautiful visuals, good gameplay and an engaging storyline. Just finished Cat Quest to a Platinum, now carving my way through Persona 5, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Zero Time Dilemma.
-
It now has THREE settings!
-
FINALLY broke the Platinum on Dragon Quest Heroes. Damn, the last two post game battle are hard. One is full of 1 hit KOs (you only get 4 revives per battle), and the other freezelocks your party if it gets the chance. Still - on to South Park!
-
Now, beware as there are swears and naughty references, but there's a sequel to the Deadpool/Gaston parody... Best watched with subtitles/closed captions for the end credits. (oh, and an infinity war spoiler at the end)

I remember a previous site I worked at a loooong time ago we were moving a large number of machines around on a trolley during the six weeks holidays, I got the fine art of riding the empty trolley down the corridor and straight into one of the IT suites we were moving kit from/to. There was a 90 degree turn at the end of the corridor - just before the entrance to the I.T. suite. Unbeknownst to me - the head was in and was very surprised when a trolley being ridden/steered by a junior 'tech thundered past a mere few inches from his nose. In the split second I had to think - my brain decided it was a good idea to say "Hi !" as I flew past, no point in being rude, is there? Luckily he had a very good sense of humour and merely suggested I may want to really make sure there's no-one about to get ran over. That said - where I am now, we'll very occasionally use food tech for a departmental fry-up (we just make sure we clean up after ourselves)

Another note for 'shuffle time': If you notice how the 'half/no money/exp' cards have extra draws attached to them, it's worth it to take them - if you draw ALL cards, you'll automatically enter shuffle time after the next combat with an extra two draws, meaning you can usually get them all again - keeping the cycle going.
-
When Persona 4 asks if you're sure you want to open that chest - it means it.
-
When you've not got any 'live' rescue attempts running - you're free to go into whichever dungeon you like from the hub by speaking to your party members who are standing around (where you first landed). I'm not sure if you can 'leave' that dungeon's entrance area to go back to the hub though as I can't remember going backwards out of an active rescue. The insta-kill skills are mostly useless unless an enemy has a weakness to that particular element, at which point they become VERY likely to kill (instakills are only in the Dark 'Mudo' line and the Light 'Hama' line of spells). Taking on weaker enemies on a lower floor will allow you to get into 'shuffle time' easier (as that's usually activated on the enemy not getting a go in my experience), which you can then use to heal health/mana and boost the stats of the main's current persona. That's especially useful if you can wipe the enemy only having to spend no/minimal mana, or through normal attacks.
-
I used time in dungeons to grind levels (you can also return to earlier dungeons by returning the to TV world in Junes,) - this also gave me 'shuffle time' to boost my Persona' stats (I got main's "own" persona up to 99 on all stats with this). There's no limit to the number of dungeons you can visit in one 'trip' - and you can even spend several hours flicking between two floors in a single dungeon if you like, it'll just cost a single after school & evening session. For two helpers - one is weak to Ice, the other Fire. The boss isn't weak to anything though I think he's immune to light/dark but I don't think you'll have too much of that yet anyway. He likes to poison (i think?) your male party members and enrage the females - so try to ensure you have a male healer so you don't lose access to healing. Give Chie a strength boost accessory and let her loose on him - if he enrages her it will only make her stronger but her defense will suffer (enrage doubles attack but halves defence) so be ready to keep her health topped up. Also, in the first two thirds of the game I found high luck and agility stats on the main's persona to be particularly telling - as then normal attacks would often crit, giving a free follow up go.

*korifugi public service announcement* Note for the few with a PSVita that may be looking at this as a psychological/moral horror without anything visceral - there are visceral bits later. so if you've not got the stomach for it, I'd avoid.
-
Due to it being a freebie on PSN, I've started playing Zero Time Dilemma on yon Vita. Boy this is dark, moral choices and deadly consequences. Nothing overly visceral (so far), but the mental ramifications of choices made mean this game really does live up to it's age rating.

Okay, while TERA has been out for a long time, and has been on the PS4 since April - it managed to pique my interest... So.... Do we have anyone on it? (Not just on the PS4 side - although mention if you are!)
-
Nah - it's Iceberg lettuce that's solidified wet.
