Uplink port would be a trunk but the VLANS will need to be allowed on the trunk. Also make sure the default gateways for those VLANS are set to their respective default gateways on the router. What you'd then do is make the remaining ports access ports for the vlan you want them on.

Is it a layer 3 switch or do you having a router for routing? No need to make all the zyxel ports trunks as that opens you to a world of trouble. Make one port a trunk port and make sure that VLANS 1 and 2 are allowed on the link for zyxel switch.

I did ITIL V3 self study and it was fine. I passed the test after 3 weeks hard study. Depends on how you do in the test environment really but I would recommend self study

You could take ICND1 and ICND2 which are the individual exams that make up the CCNA. When I did mine, this is what I did, alot easier in my book. ICND1 gives you the CCENT certification and both create the CCNA. There' also the Comptia Network+ which I hear is pretty solid

Email's are the way forward, never an issue when they can see something is being done. It also protects yourselves if ever questioned on issues
