Get a professional licence. The law was quietly changed over the Christmas break after the airport chaos… there is a long discussion about it on The Register. The weight exemption has been removed… ALL drones require a license to fly now… even the tiny biscuit drones they sell in smyths toy stores. And the airport exclusion zone has been increased from 1/2 a mile to 3 miles. And it goes without saying that you should get public liability insurance to cover at least £5million in damages… That's about £55 a year. Won't stop the "ne'er do wells", from flying though…

Knowing that the local criminal element nicked a generator powering a local primary school in Alton while the electricity board were laying in a new power cable… means virgin made the right call. Plus any fallout has been mitigated…

Go to Scotland by motorbike again… but this time even more north… Inverness (I think)… all the way from Guildford. Probably spend a couple of weeks touring as well… Build a trailer to tow behind the motorbike… so my camping gear is lower down, more secure, more balanced… and possibly be able to ride 2-up… Lose 2 stone (again), I was svelte 3 years ago, having lost 4 stone (but now I seemed to have regained most of it)… but at least it's possible! Find a riding companion… either with machine or without… the trick is to "get out there!" Find a better job, more money (than present)… these projects require funding…

[joke] Santa is in breach of GDPR and much more!

His sleigh has been approved by the FAA the CAA and international treaties and he always files a flight plan, after all every year, he even has NORAD tracking his movements and issuing notams to pilots within his flight space… And supersonic flight in a sleigh? I'd reckon he's a very accomplished pilot… as for Rudolph, the red nose is all down to the high friction air passing his pointy end at supersonic speed… (he must have been made a ceramic nose cap by the Elf n Safety commission) -

A bit of a giggle… nice to see another aspect of life. Thank $deity your place of work (or mine) doesn't involve half ton animals that can maim or kill you given half a chance… Still lots of moans and gripes that could be applied to this forum though
