  1. You add it in a GP object, if it doesn't exist it will add it, this will only remove the network part from windows explorer

  3. Creating new machines Install Windows 7 via WDS, Inject drivers needed into WDS Windows 7 Image, Install Windows 7 via WDS = Done How I have it setup is Install Windows 7 via WDS (Because we have the MAC Addresses setup in AD on the computer accounts) this automatically names the machine, then GP to install third party software, then the third party software starts install all our packages MSI, MSU, Prism, etc. last thing it does is run a restart script and change Windows 7 logon wallpaper so I know it’s all been done and completed. Completely all Unattended after the F12 boot into WDS

  6. Take a look at Burconix, we moved to them over the summer and everything just works great now and is seamless, we had CSE beforehand was having quite a few issues and felt the company wasn't or resolving them quick enough or moving anywhere fast. Best decision I’ve made in a long while.
  7. Yes TASC PARS is based on school size based as well, and id say its cheap as well.
  8. Got to agree TASC INSIGHT is excellent and cheap compared to others, we installed it November last year and rolled it out to parents by Jan. View all info from SIMS as well as their own software PARS, links into active directory if you add admission numbers to a employeeID field so it automatically gives students access to their information, links into our Kitchen System NRS, We customised it so it fits in with our school branding. I agree about the featuere request to @Quackers

It does so much and if you think it needs a new feature you log a call or feature request and most of the time it implemented within the week.
  10. Probably not will check tomorrow as its a clean VM, but do you think if i install office and adobe reader on the server it will pick up the icons?
  11. Hi Guys, Woundering if anyone could help me on this See attached Screenshot, Only recently installed Home Access Plus and configuring as we speak but noticed its not picking up standard icon images for pdf, xlsx etc etc Any help would be great Rob
  12. We use a product called INSIGHT, User Friendly and Cheaper than most the rest around also Links into AD so students auto logon
  13. The best option for us was Tasc's INSIGHT, Cheaper than all most others ands really simple to use and intergates with Active Directory
  14. Hi All, Have not got a bad word to say about INSIGHT, we installed around October and its one of the best products I’ve bought in a long while User friendly, Cheap, Customizable, Pulls information from SIMS + PARS or Both, It can pull information from some catering systems as well, Links in with AD so staff and students will auto logon. We have already issued parents with usernames + passwords and all seems to run smoothly Tasc Support is excellent and any new features, suggestions they are always willing to incorporate into their software. Everyone likes this software and we have had no complaints Rob
