Once again it's that time of year when romantics, hopeless or otherwise find themselves ambling around certain shops and outlets searching for inspiration for that special gift. If you're anything like the majority of us at CP, this can be a monumental nuisance...and our experience has shown us that petrol station flowers and a transit-damaged Chocolate Orange certainly aren't Cupid's weapon of choice. So we've teamed up with fxnailz.co.uk to offer our account holders a Valentine's Day olive branch. Every email/text/webform we receive between now and 2pm Fri 11th Feb with a brief description of the worst gift you've given (Valenine's or otherwise) will be rewarded with a freebie from the site. As a starter for 10..mine was an ill thought 'gift' as a 17 yr old, handing my then gf a ring box with a 2p piece inside.Haplessly caught up in how the joke would have us both in fits of laughter. I neglected to buy an actual present. She freaked. We split soon after Fail Joe

I'd suggest a bit of Morcheeba- Big Calm (1998 album), nice mellow tracks and some cracking vocals. Mark

I'm glad to see the amount of people that never clean their filters. I've had my Mitsubishi up for over 8 months now, no cleaning/maintenance at all. Works like a charm! Viva le laissez faire resistance! Joe

Hello Bodminman, I have just put this on so have a look, it may help you in your quest! http://www.edugeek.net/forums/networks/70314-ruckus-wireless-brings-high-speed-11n-wi-fi-connectivity-wallingford-town-centre.html

Hello Edugeekers, I have seen that a few people are commenting on their home broadband provision and thought I would attach this article in case it is any use to anybody. It is defnitely worth speaking to your MP about it..........they are useful at times! Chris RUCKUS CPLtd.TJames Wallingford Article.docx

Hello, So what have you currently got exchange -wise? I have to say I am lucky enough to have the 50meg in Market Harborugh - I have no problems with it at all and it is pretty quick! Don't suppose that helps you though. I take it there in no chance of Virgin around your area? Do you live in a village then and if so have you looked ino the government schemes for broadband provision across these areas. Our sister company, TJames Telecoms and ourselves recently completed one like this in Wallingford......please see links below. It may be worth looking into. Wallingford goes Wi-Fi (From Oxford Mail) Chris

It will indeed Ben, one of the nice things about the system is that with the dual band AP's (7363 and 7962) the 5GHz Radio is used for the mesh uplink with clients associated to the 2.4GHz radio meaning that throughput is maintained at a respectable level. As you would expect when you get over 4 or 5 hops between meshed AP's throughput does diminish not insignificantly (going from a starting throughput of 300 on N then after 3 hops throughput would be 100 and after 6 hops down to 60). Key thing is therefore to design the system so that root (Wired) AP's are located in areas to minimise hop numbers. Mark WiSE Guy

Well it'd be rude not to throw my scrum hat into the ring... Good luck to you all and may the best nation win.... i.e. Wales (ok so hopless optimist I admit)! Cheers, Mark

I gave up on BLOPS ages ago (PS3)....complete cluster-uuuffff Gimme DeadSpace 2 anyday! Joe

Want one!!! Joe

Hi Chris, I have heard some of the universal mounts have proved to be a bit problematic. RA manufacture a whole series of mounts to suit the Casios, drop me a PM with what you are looking to mount onto and I’ll get pricing over. Thanks, Mark

Although I can't comment on the above (obviously!) I'll gladly offer the details of the Studio that is handling our new website (unveiling next month) I can't recommend them enough. Joe

You can never have too much....but I would have thought too much coffee is the point you go the other way after a mug and crash out. We average around 7 cups a day per man in the office. It is like an episode of Road Runner! Chris

Indeed you do.....I take it everyone else is happy with current pricing. Seems like a big waste each year to me..... and means less to spend on the worthwhile equipment. No wonder people moan about budgets! ha Chris

I agree with FN-GM, It is nice but the stripes are a bit much.....it maybe too many coffees this afternoon I cannot be sure! Chris

Just 10 hours? Sweet...really looking forward to it, the design of the environs and Necromorphs are hideously beautiful

The mobotix equipment being displayed by Net-Ctrl at the Edugeek conf last year looked pretty damn good!

Deadspace is by far the gnarliest game I have ever played, however I found it far from calming (projector, headphones, low lighting and no-one else in the house) I found myself 'bricking it' from start to end, awesome game...pre-ordered the sequel...not long now! Joe

Hello to all edugeekers, Where do you get your typical office copy paper from and how much are you paying per ream/per box? I have been amazed recently at the price a lot of schools and colleges I deal with pay for their paper supplies. In fact amazed doesn't actually cover it. I am pretty sure that it is about as mundane as ordering gets, but please check out pricing from time to time you will be amazed at how much you can save! Chris
