  1. People phone, people email, people attack me in person. A lot of the time I add it as a task/appointment on my phone which is synced to Outlook and I get reminders that way.
  2. I've seen a few threads on adding Environment Variables using VBScript but I can't seem to find information on retrieving a particular Variable and then changing the value. Any ideas?
  3. Let us know when you manage to find out what was causing it
  4. Well that's a royal pain in the ..... Well done on finding a solution
  5. Second one does look fun Did get me thinking though, the character seems to be able to morph into certain shapes etc. It would be really good if they could implement a feature whereby you can customised 2/3 shapes of your own choice and bind them to a key. Would make the player experience quite unique.
  6. have you tried doing it without /image=d:? From the instructions I have seen the command peimg /inf=d:\temp\Driver\*.inf Temp\Mount Should do it as you have already specified where the image is mounted to in WinPE
  7. When you add an image to WDS it copies it into it's internal folder structure and that can't be changed (as far as I know). Also (and this is just observation I haven't read anything to back this up) WDS seems to adjust the image into different files and if you have two images that are near identical, it takes all the identical stuff and merges that into one file and will then create separate files for each image based on the differences. If you look in your images folder on WDS it has a big file called Res.RWM and then smaller files with the image name e.g. OctImage01.wim Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.
  8. So you have your images on ServerA and WDS on ServerB? Or is the Images folder just a Network Share?
  9. Thanks for the reply, I think I should have been a bit more specific. We were thinking more along the lines of personal office printers, e.g. HP LaserJet 1006
  10. What office laser printers are you all using at the moment? We currently use HP but my NM was wondering if there were any other brands that were proving to be as good/better than HP. Thanks!

    Mac Data recovery

Not that long ago and it hasn't been used since except to install the trial of Stellar Phoenix Macintosh i have tried. I think have a found the files to recover but you have to pay to get them. The annoying thing is that I can't check the files in the recovery program against what is in the original folder because the Ladmin user doesn't have priviledges to do so..... Is that standard in Macs for the Admin account to be unable to access other user accounts? Or would I need to access it via the server account?

    Mac Data recovery

Deleted files, and in this case particularly files that were moved to another computer and then lost.

    Mac Data recovery

Hi all Does anyone know of a Free Data Recovery Program for Macs?
  14. I think the development time is closer to about 11 years :S
  15. Is there an option in RealPlayer that sets it as the default for such things? It could be worth checking the file associations in Windows for everything that defaults to RealPlayer and going from there?

    Left4Dead

Yeah? Is that the wired ones only? The real thing I don't like about playing on the Xbox is the control pad, mouse and keyboard are superior

    Left4Dead

I would have preferred to get this on the PC but RSI means I can play it for longer periods without pain on the Xbox.... damn control pads!
  18. The Jasper updates are only just rolling in now as far as I had heard so I doubt yours would be.
  19. i read not so long ago that the thing that caused all of the hardware problems with the Xbox 360 was that Microsoft decided to try and save money (either $20 Million or $200 Million, probably the latter) by designing their own PCB for the motherboard instead of going to a professional company who have plenty of experience. This led to all the problems, cost them over $1 Billion.... that'll teach them to cut corners.
  20. The first generation PS2s were terrible, particularly for scratching the discs. I was working in MVC at the time and we had loads back. The second generation would die but I can't remember the reason why now. My Xbox decided to give me a red quarter of death and error code E-73 a couple of days ago, UPS are picking it up today. Not happy as I had just started playing Left 4 Dead! The odd thing was, was that the dvd tray got caught on something for 2 seconds while it was coming out. I moved the object out of the way and then this error code came up which apparently is linked to the ethernet port :|
  21. ReaperX2112 I'll be back playing Left 4 Dead and Rainbow Six 2 as soon as Microsoft repair and turn the Xbox
  22. We use Mailwall through OmniQuad so the vast majority of spam doesn't even enter our system.

    Couple of Issues

Just remembered I hadn't responded to this. That's a good question and off the top of my head I don't know. It might have been to reduce the spread of network activity in that section of the school or to protect against any loss of current work if the server went down while the student was recording. I'll have to check that out methinks.
  24. Might be a very dumb question.... What exactly is a cold restart?
  25. I've just searched through the forum for PXE boot issues and can't seem to find one that describes my problem. I have two machines made at the same time and from the same components, Machine A will pick up the DHCP in PXE boot and Machine B won't. It says it can't find any DHCP PXE info. I've tried them on the same port so I know it isn't a switch issue, but I'm stumped! Any ideas?
