Maybe they needed to upgrade from windows 98?

If you don't use apps, I suggest using the powershell script that removes the apps, helps a lot. Other thing you can do is setup a default profile.

Are you mapping all the drives with the same credentials?
-
Bit of a tricky one, anyone know if it is possible to remap keys just for certain languages?
-
An easier way is to setup the deployment as available rather than required, when testing. That way you can install and uninstall as required through software center.

Great to know! I might give them a free trial then. This seems like it would simplify so many things.

Only thing I worry about in the UK is data protection laws. If there was a UK provider i'd really be pushing for this. Seems much more straightforward than our current VLE.
-
Is it still successful? Do you host it yourself or is it remote?
-
Yup they are. But it installs fine when I run it myself from the command line, that's the odd thing. It is on the same share as the other source files that it is using for the install, so this makes no sense to me. Like I say, when I get time I will try adding the gallery to the package and referencing in the mst to a relative directory.

You can minetest though... http://minetest.net/

Yes this is more of what I was looking for. If the layers can be exported in colour then it would be perfect. Trying to avoid installing Java though :/

I want it as jpgs because I want the children to be able to see how the buildings come together as a layer. Then they can design their own for implementing. Does the BDcraft allow exporting to jpgs?

Hello peeps, I am looking for something that allows me to make 3d block models and then let's me export them as jpgs in layers. So for a building that was 10 storeys high there would be 10 2d images. Anyone know of such a tool or something similar that could help me? Cheers, Paul

Scratch can make some really awesome things. I am just starting to get into it more. I am looking into how to make 3d models in scratch. Like this one: 3D Isometric Steve on Scratch Amazingly awesome in such a limited program.

When I install manually a separate UAC prompt comes up for the gallery install part. Might try packaging the gallery in with it and refer to it within the package and see if that works. If anyone else has any ideas feel free to share.
-
I have even tried running it with the command myself from the cached files and it works just fine then too. Bit of an annoying one this.
-
On the 1st point, everything installs as it should On the 2nd point, I have only seen always reinstall for packages, where is it for msi deployment?

Having problems deploying Smart Notebook 11 through SCCM. Firstly, it never seems to install the gallery despite me having put the setting in Smart Manager. Secondly, if I uninstall and then try to reinstall it says it is already compliant. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers, Paul

Gave up doing it that way, in the end I just added it via GPO shortcuts (Note: Must remove run in user context). Onto the next job!

I just worked out where the file is saving to, probably an instance of needing quotes, will look into it.

The XML part is working fine. The batch file isn't copying the shortcut into the C:\programdata\microsoft\windows\startmenu\ area. I just wondered if someone had another way of doing it. I am able to pin the logoff.exe to start menu and it works fine that way but doesn't have a nice key icon that it is easy for primary school children to find.
-
Well I copied the shortcut to C:\programdata\microsoft\windows\startmenu\shortcuts (have to create this folder) and for a shortcut you can set your own icon. I am then running a batch file to copy it from the network share, and it is pinned to the start in the xml file. The batch file doesn't seem to let me copy there though. Not sure if it will let me copy files to that directory as it is privileged? That is my only theory.

I want to make a custom logoff button on the metro screen that I can be deployed with the gpo. Anyone got one working? I know the file is logoff.exe but I would like it with a custom icon.

I have edited the default domain policy numerous times and never had a problem :/ Is it really that bad to do?
