I like the sound of the above for my new remote apps system, how much did it roughly cost? -
we have a wildcard ssl i tried adding that but it comes up with error about make sure you trust the publisher it list publisher as *.domain.com and the remote computer as server.domain.local and gateway server as rd.domain.com, i cant work out how to get remove this error

When you say use the external dns name do you mean for the server name? How can you do that if the server is attached to the domain which is .local

ok so i need to sign remote apps, how do i sign a server when the server name is remote.domainname.local as i have just read some CA are stopping the .local domain ssl

Hi Have a look at the device drivers, we found that an older intel wireless driver was causing some problems with a set of our laptops. We updated them and set the n channel to auto instead of 20mhz on the driver an noticed a massive improvement straight away.

Hello We are currently running 2008r2 dcs. Is it safe to do an in place upgrade to 2012 or I'm I better of creating new dcs and moving roles across like ad,dns, dhcp, pki?

Got the Dc backing up now, just can't get my sccm server 2012, I've just tried removing the backp feature and reinstalling the feature still no luck

I reinstalled windows backup and it fixed it on that, but my sccm server won't do system state

Hello I can't backup my 2008r2 Dc with dpm, it backs up the files but never seems to backup the system state, do you have to do any special apart from selecting the system state?

so ok i have a backup of the server and system state etc.... how do i restore the domain? i have a virtual server ready setup with 2008 on to act as the remote, im using backup exec 12.5

Hi Got called to help out with a problem at a primary school Basically, the domain controller died, and guess what yes you guessed it not properly backed up I have discovered that I have a back for the files on there dc and that's it, so no system state as of yet! So as this is there only dc and the server has a hardware fault, so new server, can I rescue the domain and ad? I have the sysvol folders and dhcp files and ntds files, can it be rescued or is this a complete new domain setup? If so where to start?

Hello I'm new to reports in Sims and been asked if it is possible to have a report show if a student was marked present in the am reg but marked Absent in the pm. Can anyone give me some pointers please? Mark

Hi Just look at our school term dates this year and noticed the Xmas is late breaking up and we go back on the 7th jan. If the school decides to shut, can they force me to use my holiday over Xmas time?

Hi I'm a little confused on what a need to do about creating a Rdns for our mail server as aol is rejecting our mail because it has no rdns Our DNs is held with 1&1 and the setup is the follow Mx record for ip X.x.x.66 is forwarded to our barracuda Barracuda passes email on to exchange Exchange sends messages var the barracuda then barracuda sends that straight to the Internet. I'm a little unclear how to create a Rdns record or where I have to do this Mark
