Hi all, Been asked to do an esafety stall at parents evening next week to give out helpful information. Anyone have anything you have found useful?

All schools in our area have been warned by the LEA to start looking at these eventualities as some schools have received scares and threats over the past few weeks. You may see some other threads on here with people looking into different means of alerting their schools. Burying our heads in the sand really isn't the best practice!

Currently looking at our evacuation procedures for armed intruders or other threats. Each of which will require a different alarm. We currently have impero on site and had the idea of broadcasting a message or image to all machine using a code word. However this would rely on someone actually sending out this message in such an eventuality- we have two possible ideas: set up a script that would send an email to a distribution group who would have access to the impero console who would in turn broadcast the message. or would their be a way to set up a simple script or shortcut to broadcast through impero without having to open it up and select machines- so this could be used by the front desk staff quickly. Or use a different solution entirely not involving Impero.

Trying to set up Replicate on my two Netgear Readynas 204s and each time I go to log in using my Readynas remote account it keeps saying the credentials are invalid. I know the log on details are correct. Has anyone encountered this before?

Have checked everything in bios and there are no wireless group policies.

Got 5 Dell latitude E5440 laptops which wont connect to the wifi until they have logged on. Have added a local group policy to make it wait and still not helping. Using the latest drivers on a fresh build of windows 7. Not sure what else to do!

Ive got a Ikea Markus at work- great chairs and really comfy. Leather one comes with 10 year guarantee aswell!!

Dealt with this issue this morning on some dell laptops. Here is the workthrough I use- open search, type "services.msc" open services. Scroll down to "wlan auto config" right click, stop the service. Navigate to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Wlansvc\ delete everything in this folder leaving only a folder called "profiles" delete everything in the "profiles" folder except for a folder called "interfaces" delete everything in the "interfaces" folder) Restart "wlan auto config" connect to your wireless network, enter your passkey, (ensure the connect automaticly box is checked) Restart your computer job done, your computer will now connect to your wireless network automaticly on boot.

Looking at moving our website away from 1&1 and onto a wordpress site hosted externally. I am after a decent host who will allow us to pay yearly rather than monthly. Any recommendations?

Hi all, just been looking at updating the block lists on my impero set up- is anyone willing to share an XML file of their block lists? Need a bit of everything really, got the standard lists that come with Impero but would like some more in there.

Have quite a large amount of w500 tablets onsite and would like to rebuild them- I have bought a usb to ethernet adapter with the correct chipset built in (I know these tablets are picky about which adapters they use) But i still cannot get it to PXE boot. Can anyone give me a push in the right direction?

Do I need to upgrade my wds server to 2012r2 or would 2008r2 still be able to capture and deploy the image?

We have an old radio station set up onsite and I am in need of some software that will allow me to broadcast whatever is playing on the machine- not media player specific. The software it came with is completely useless. Anyone know of any they would be happy to recommend?

Got it working- for some reason it wasnt accessible in my normal GPO folder so moved it and its working now! Thank you

Due to target tracker not being able to go a week without having to release an update I need to start pushing out the install using GPO- however it simply doesn't work. I have version 15.2 on all my machines but I need to update to 15.3. I have assigned the MSI to the software deployment GPO and set it up like all other software i deploy to the network- but it just wont install. How is everyone else installing this?
