  1. The manifest ID is the same (669113193) I've tried pasting the full URL: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/book/the-norman-conquest/id669113193 too, which results in the following error message: "There were errors in saving this configuration:One or more errors occurred. No changes have been saved. Invalid manifest file" I've checked that the licences were 'purchased' from the UK VPP store.
  2. Thanks. I use VPP for all non-free apps. I've assigned a licence under MDM/VPP for an iBook I've 'purchased' (it's free), when I try to deploy it under MDM/Apps/Add new/iOS Enterprise App by pasting the code (669113193) obtained from https://volume.itunes.apple.com/us/store into the Manifest URL field I receive the following message: "There were errors in saving this configuration:One or more errors occurred. No changes have been saved. An error occurred while fetching the manifest file. The URL may be invalid or not accessible by Dashboard."
  3. There is Google Takeout, users have to download their own files though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Takeout
  4. I had Profile Manager set up by an Apple recommended re-seller (given a month to deploy 40 iPads, didn't have time to do it myself with the other projects I had ongoing). I have found it to be slow and unreliable so am looking at ditching it and using Meraki Systems Manager instead. So far everything seems to be working great, app deployment is much quicker than on Profile Manager, VPP took a little while to figure out but I think I've cracked it. I can't figure out how to deploy iBooks, they don't appear when searching for an app under MDM/Apps/Add new/iOS app or when using Lookup by ID and pasting the bundle ID from the iTunes App Store in. Is it possible to deploy iBooks with Systems Manager and if not, what do you recommend I use? Thanks
  5. I have printed from a Mac to a Riso ComColor copier using Google Cloud Print installed on our Windows File and Print server. https://support.google.com/a/answer/3179170?hl=en This will only print from Google Chrome, when I have time I'm going to try an app from the Mac App Store called Cloud Printer. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/cloud-printer/id463448876?mt=12 https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/apps.html If this doesn't work purchasing a RIP for the Riso would work but is an expensive option.
  6. I'd delete the contents if there are any rather than the folder. If there was something under WindowsApps, did you log on using a domain account before capturing the image? On my 8.1 deployment test machine it only populated the folder after I logged into the domain.
  7. Are they coming back from the hidden C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder? You can see the contents using an elevated command prompt without having to change the permissions. I wonder what happens if you delete the apps from there if they still exist after 'removing' them using PowerShell or DISM.
  8. I'm investigating something else at the moment (removing the Camera, Skydrive and Photos apps) but found some information on this blog that you might find useful: Windows 8.1 latent apps | Confidential Files!
  9. I have installed and configured Moodle 2.5 (numerous times) but cannot get it to work reliably. It will work for a while then issues arise such as 'Unsupported redirect detected' when trying to upload files. I've given up hope of it ever working reliably. Are there any companies out there which host and configure Moodle? How much do they charge? I do not think that Moodle is the right product for us anyway, it's too complicated and staff haven't got the time to create resources for it, however the Head is insistent that we get it working because "Other schools have it". We have a very limited budget and cannot afford many of the hosted VLEs on the market such as Frog OS. Any suggestions?
  10. Thanks for your suggestions, I'll look into them.
  11. Hello My school currently does not have a VLE, we used to use Moodle before I started but there were problems with the installation and unfortunately I've not had the time to start again from scratch with it (which is what I originally planned to do). The server it was hosted on has been reutilised so I wouldn't be able to try to fix the issues. The pressure is on to set up a VLE before September, with my current workload I'm going to struggle to find time and our teachers wouldn't be able to add much content by this deadline. Do you know of any hosted services which come with KS2 and 3 content on them? Particularly for English, Maths and Science. If not is there any good SCORM content available for KS2 and 3? Most of what I can find online is targeted at KS4. Thank you James
