So, I managed to get it around the wheel, not perfect, it was working, but something still gone wrong. I have a good hands-on the video I published and the unit.

That is my own video.... I used to be bragging on YouTube over this thing, but now it's just a paperweight, any suggestions? Also, I have been checking it, the schematic on the cover is showing nearly everything I need to know, but NOT how the string wraps onto the wheel. It's a matter of arguing with the laws of physics.

So, I dragged this old receiver to my school to replace the potentiometer string, but nor I and the teacher find out how to get it done? Can anyone help us on how to put the string around the tuner wheel? The string isn't supposed to shift, I will be happy to provide more information when required. Tuner wheel, the string needs to be wrapped around those plastic dots SOMEHOW. String configuration, but not shown how it goes around the wheel I greatly appreciate all the help that anyone wants to give!

Our school has HP 620 laptops and some Sony LCD projectors, the resolutions have never been touched on the laptop's VGA outputs and always used to be on 1024x768, my laptop has been connected to several of these units too, always used to be on 1024x768.

In case you haven't got any solid state drive yet, and want something that's reliable. DO NOT BUY ONE. They fail in a range of 2 years. Even when you treat them as you should.

If I were you I would get a new SSD or mechanical drive, even when you restored it. I have seen so many complains about corrupted SSDs, these things have their long term period NOT tested at all. Doesn't matter what manufacturer, all of them will die in a range of two years.

I might be wrong, but it looks like the newer power supplies discharge the capacitors instantly, when I'm maintaining my computer I unplug the lead, and press the power button a few times just to make sure it's fully discharged, no action when I do so.

Beautiful! Completely the opposite of the computers on my school. Just some completely normal Fujitsu Siemens barebone computers from 2004 or something

I have been fiddling around with this for a while on my school already, first things I did with the teacher before it failed somehow: We went to clean it up and check why it had such a dim light production (appeared to be a bad lamp afterwards), we took it apart, not much force applied, used a air compressor to get all dirt and debris blown out, when it was all together and back on it's overhead support, it started up fine, but the teacher just couldn't shut it down. They tried all basic things, check power, remote control and anything else. The status indicators are just showing up normal, power indicator is just red, indicating it should be all good to turn on, and the lamp replace warning is still on too. I disassembled it last Friday, I re-attached the infrared sensor, even tried a other remote control (they have multiple projectors there, as well as broken ones). I have readed on this very forum something about a thermal reset switch? If so, where is that even located? I greatly appreciate any help!
