  1. I have just installed a 2012 test server on ESXi 5 and it seems fine! No errors or install hangs.
  2. Yes, but it all depends on what these clients are doing. I had 40 laptops out all running iplayer and 4od concurrently and didn't find any problems.
  3. We have it on here, just make sure clients have up to date drivers to conform to the standard.
  4. You need to add if (shExpMatch(url,"*.facebook.com/*")) return "DIRECT";
  5. I tried Meru and Ruckus before deciding on Ruckus. Its easier to set up and use, less expensive, and the coverage and throughput was slightly better. People are recommending Ruckus because it works well!
  6. Ruckus from Net-Ctrl for me! Speak to Aggy or Mark who are on here. Biggest supplier of Ruckus in the UK.
  7. Do a standard search for files that haven't been modified since a certain date.
  8. I would be interested what people are using for network access control and making sure devices are complying with AV and update policies.
  9. Take ownership and then try.
  10. I have a feeling the Ruckus kit is more recent that the aruba. I also wonder why your employer goes through so many network managers! Good luck!
  11. Ruckus a will be 25, 50 or 100 licence. It will say in the Dashboard on the ZD.
  12. Yes. There is a document on the Ruckus site with full instructions. Also, in later version of Windows server a wpad entry is not allowed in DNS for security but its easy to turn off and the entry to work. I have it issued from the Ruckus ZD, the DHCP setting for that scope also has details of where the files comes from.
  13. If auto detect is ticked in IE then they will get the proxy details from the wpad file you have created.
  14. Anyone work how to clear the password?
  15. Do do an non authoritative restore and you would avoid that!
  16. With transparent proxies, how are the users authenticating?
  17. Go full, if you boss is saying they will pay for what ever you think is best then no point having a hybrid.
  18. Splitting up BYOD gives you the opportunity to set limitations differently for staff and students. Eg the time range the SSID is being broadcast, bandwidth limiting etc.
  19. some, but not the 2910al series...
  20. Ports facing down.
  21. I have looked at all the possibilities for how to mount it correctly but its not really possible, hence my question.
  22. No due to various reasons.
  23. I have a new HP2910al, I need to wall mount it but in the guide it says DO NOT wall mount. The vents and fans are on the sides and wouldn't be blocked. The only reason I could think of is because it weighs 6kg and could fall off. But is there any other reason?
  24. Speak to Mark or Aggy at Net-Ctrl. I am surprised you found Ruckus more expensive, it was cheaper than Meru and HP for me.
