BTW for info, these have been replaced with newer Ruckus kit. These APs still work and worked well! -
I have 15 used Ruckus R710. All have been reset to factory settings on the latest firmware. Happy to sell individually at £180 + £10 delivery or as a job lot (contact for price) Also have a load of EOL 7363, R700, 7372 and a ZD3000 going for free. Just pay for courier. Thanks

I am trying to set up a load of android phones and need to install apps over the air. Is there an equivilent service from google like VPP and DEP? I have an MDM solution but it still wants the user to sign in the play store rather than just install silently. Thanks
-
Does it support android devices?
-
I agree! I am just trying to find a decent MDM solution!

Do you distribute apps licences using lightspeed so that you don't have to get them back in each time you want to install an app?
-
Are you signed in on AC2 using the account you purchase your VPPs apps with? We give ipads to staff, I assign licences with Meraki. Where as class sets I was using AC and the redemption codes. Seems AC2 has changed this but I don't want to sign in to AC2 with my VPP account for it to screw up Meraki and the already assigned apps.
-
Was working for me with 10.2!
-
I have a vpp account which I have bought my redemption codes and managed distribution set up with meraki. When I sign in with that account on Apple Configurator 2 it says that by doing so disables any other servers using this account and all existing users and their assignments will be removed. Now I am assuming that means it kills Meraki...

Has anyone got a download of the latest version of verion 1? I updated to version 2 and I find it awful, mostly getting apps on the ipads etc.

[android] Setting up android tablets in bulk
Dragon replied to Dragon's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Which seems what I need, to disable add user or create guest. Useless really! -
A member of staff handed me 12 tablets to set up for use on our network. We have never set up android tablets before so I am starting from fresh and I was wonder what the best method of set up is? They are going to be shared classroom devices and unfortunately the tablets do not have NFC. iPads I do via apple configurator. But I can't find anything for android. Also any recommendation for locking them down and removing the add user/guest user from the lock screen without rooting the device? Thanks!

From the impression I got the content filtering was good! I'd hate to think how much the Palo Altos are if I am finding the Fortigates are expensive.
-
I have been quoted for a couple of fortigate units along with fortigate for 5 years and the cost is HUGE! What did your setup cost? and for what kit?

Seeking views on a filtering/firewall appliances

Doesn't your ISP rate the fortinet filtering that well? From what I have seen it looks good. -

Why go with a lightspeed and fortinet combo? Why not just the fortinet by itself? -
We have been issuing DPSK since we have had the Ruckus system but I am looking at stream lining the process of getting user devices onto the wireless network. I have got as far as installing a windows NPS server, but looking at non domain clients I was wondering if using a 3rd party certificate (as deploying a self certificate could be an issue) was a good idea. Domain joined computers aren't really an issue with the wifi at all, as we use a PSK that only we know. Where as BYOD clients use the DPSK. I have set up a server with NPS and got it working with the Ruckus ZD. By creating a manual connection on a windows 7 client and unticking "Validate server certificate" the user can enter their network credentials and get access to the wifi. I was hoping with a 3rd party certificate on the NPS server from the likes of Geotrust that the certificate can be validated but it doesn't. I don't really want to distribute certificates for users to install as I want to make it as easy as possible for staff and students to get onto the wireless network. At the same time (as we start to look at new firewalls) I am hoping to be able to pass user info using radius accounting to the firewall so that user authentication with the firewall is seemless too. Has anyone else successfully achieved this?

Thanks, I have changed the UPN within AD already as our DNS name space was different from the external domain for the school. I change change this for the admin child domain but my other problem is some users have account in both domains with the same username. So I am not sure what will happen when there are clashes. Is there no where I can add an alias for ALL the @admin.schooldomain.org users to be @schooldomain.org
-
We have signed up to Office 365 and have synced our main users to Office 365, their log in is [email protected] However we have a child AD domain of admin.schooldomain.org and we want to put these users into Office 365 too. Not a problem but we want their logins to be [email protected] rather than [email protected] Is this possible? Alternatively, if the login had to stay as admin.schooldomain.org how do I make it so that their email address was [email protected] rather than the @admin.schooldomain.org address?

Has anyone used this company recently? or whats the catch with the free printer deal? I know they are a pain and will constantly call but if they are giving away a printer and I just need to buy some of their compatible toners then what am I missing? Are their products bad?

Not used this but only found last week Office 365 Drive Mapping for Enterprise Desktops - Home

Had them since 2011 and still OK, don't forget 7363 are EOL soon. So if they are faulty get them replaced asap!
