My i7 @ 4.5ghz struggles at times.... That game is bloody insane.

I spend ££££ once every 3-5 years. It eliminates the need to continuously upgrade my PC, which is how i think most people would like their systems to be. Spend once, and then worry free after that. If it were up to me, i'd say, give me £2000 (for GAMING only), and i'll throw a tri / quad sli 980 or a single titan z with a nice i7. That'd keep anyone happy for a good.... a good..... 5+ years. Now if you argued a high end I5 cpu vs a high end i7 cpu, that's a different ball game and i wouldn't have much of a say in that, per the earlier recommendations to @edutech4schools. I3 is just a shocking. Expect to want an upgrade 6 months down the line. My own pc isn't just for gaming, i just call it a gaming pc because that's what it's used for 80% of the time. The other 20% will be hosting / VM / slight video editing (from fps recordings).
