Rimworld - The best sim management i've ever played
Sunnyknight replied to Sunnyknight's topic in Gaming
Lol it's so difficult regardless of mods or experience. The new multiplayer mod looks... interesting I should kill you just for saying this. LOL, had a similar situation. Viruses are the worst thing to hit a colony. A raid, no worries i can deal with that and a few losses. A virus, exit and restart haha -
Rimworld - The best sim management i've ever played

It's soooo difficult. Keep finding myself dying to invasions when my crew go to parley with some other tribes. I mean, TAKE A HINT. I don't want trouble! I don't know what you linked me, well i do, but what the hell did you link me. I will reject your pixel game. I refuse. Cancel all agreements. Actually, i see your Dwarf Fortress, and i raise you Star Fox Command, the best game of my childhood (until a bit later). -
Anyone played this? Played a few hours on it (108), but i still find it to be the most challenging and best 'do whatever you want' type of game. P.s. i read they may be bringing multiplayer (fully functional, not the workshop editions people have helped with) to the game

Stop being a booboo and buy it. I will guide you to victory, as i did @DalekSec. He is my apprentice. PIPE DOWN DALEK, DON'T RESPOND TO THIS. EVER!
-
Not at all..... i mean, in what realm can we look outside our bodies around corners... walls... past half open doors... mountains... ridges.... not in this world.... Nope... we (@Daleksec) play the game as it should be. ONLY in first person. Only.... in.... first person.
-
Yeah gave up long ago. Got some high ranking planes and then left for a while. Wanted to come back, but they said i need to pay £30 to get my account back (may have been 20 - 30... i can't remember). Gave them the middle finger.
-
Hey hey hey.... i'm never angry.... EXCEPT WHEN FAILNATOR NEVER COVERS ME!!! Or when Daleksec RUNS OFF WITH THE MOTORBIKE LEAVING US TO DIE! Or when people say.... 300.... 200.... 400.... Why not just say, SOUTH EAST, SOUTH WEST, NORTH!?!? I dunno what the hell you're on about with those random numbers! lol On another note... me and @DalekSec just did.... duo and won twice, 2nd another time after that, and then 12th (as daleksec ruined us by running for his door when the doorbell rang....) Fun game xD

God damnit! Now i've gotta buy the game and stream it to twitch. ><
-
So all in all, it's a battle royale between:- You and 99 others Your squad and other squads? If so, how long is a average game? Surely it must be an hour at least?
-
I've had soooooo many people telling me to buy it. I'm just very skeptical. When you say 'you and 99 others', can you have a pre-made party parachuting in, or is it basically a FFA?

Watercooling is a piece of cake, once you set it up correctly. If you get the correct fittings, you can replace / remove components (radiators / pumps) without leaking any water, or drain your entire system without touching anything but a pipe cap. This also means you can replace hardware within the case without removing every little thing and starting over. Plus... illuminated water > rgb Running a Razer BW Ultimate here, love the response of mechanical keys Edit: Saying that, i need to buy a new rig and do the watercooling with acrylic piping (takes a bit longer but looks 100x better).... or go chrome piping everywhere.... hmmmmm lol
-
And people used to say i went overboard with pc builds... lol... How can you focus on a game with that much lighting?! The only thing left on my desk that illuminates is my mouse and keyboard, and I've got those turned down to minimum. You could spend more money on custom watercooling instead of lighting! Sort it out! Nice keyboard though, Corsair???

Why is there nothing worthy of purchasing! I have money set aside for this sale, and NOTHING! ><

Steam is crashing every few mins, lol I think there's been a huge influx of people. From what i can see, nothing special on day 1.

i7 6900k (3.2ghz?) - £700 - ebay (new) (easily oc to 4.4ghz) Asus Tuf x99 sabertooth mobo - £350 - ebay (new) Corsair black quad channel kit 2400mhz 32gb - £230 - ebay (new) Gtx 1080 - £500 - ebay (new) Seasonic 850w plus Modular psu - £200 - ebay (new) So far that's.... £1980. Samsung M2 pro 950 series 256gb boot drive - £250 - ebay (new) (additional drives, you choose and add as i don't know your config) Phantecs elite super primoo case - £800 - ebay (new) ----- Change at your will, though you won't ever get a better case than this! Alternative case - Phantecs primoo full tower case - £200 - ebay (new) So far.... £2430 or £3030 Now, if you go with the £200 case, we can talk about watercooling. You could do a custom setup. 1 loop to cpu, 1 loop to mobo, 1 loop to gfx... If you're interested, let me know. I'll price up some stuff. Note... acrylic watercooling is EXPENSIVE, as in... EXPENSIVE! Obviously you could go dual GFX, but unless you've got 3+ monitors, i don't see the point. This is only for the rig, i don't play around with monitors and stuff, as i spend nearly as much on them ><

Woah woah woah, what did i see here. High money for a beastly rig? Let me get my magical fingers going. Beee arrr beee

so... What was the last Gaming Hardware you bought?
Sunnyknight replied to haldarulon's topic in Gaming
Watercooling kit. On the bright side, 1080 is cheap, and i'll be building another new rig soon -
Yeah, it is supposed to be easily transferable. If you get into the RAF as a pilot, commercial pilots will swoop you up in seconds for perm captains, but i'd still love to stay and fly F35s I did try, and they blanked me out. I'm not going to keep on pushing them to give them the satisfaction of me almost begging. What's done is done. Got to move on sometime eh? Haha, cheeky bugger! To be honest, i haven't spent much on tech. Most of my own savings has gone on building a summerhouse at the back of our garden and furnishing it. That cost upwards of.... £40,000? £50,000? Can't remember. But yeah, expensive year haha. Yeah i'm definitely going to give it my all! All or nothing! I'm primarily looking into Airman, but if that doesn't pan out, maybe look into Regiment Gunner and see what opportunities that opens, i dunno, i suppose a good chat with them will help. I feel for you, having bad eyesight is always upsetting. Nothing you can do about it i guess, unless you get laser eye surgery and wait 3 years to re-apply. Physical fitness is your own fault! Ahhh nice. It's a 12 year standard commitment isn't it? Must be loving his life travelling everywhere!

Cheers for the kind words all. Does seem like they fobbed me off, but nothing i can do, or dispute. Well, i can dispute, it'd just be a waste of money i guess. @MatthewL £120,000 to do the course over a year, and at the end of it, have a job waiting for me with one of the airlines.

Back after a long time away. As some of you may / may not know, i went away with the hope of being a commercial pilot with BA, Virgin, Emirates or Qatar. First stage i passed everything. Just the basic qualifications needed. Second stage was the exams, i pass all except for maths, which i failed by 3 marks. Re-took it 6 months later (while in work, i didn't sit around!), and passed it all. Wooooohoooo!!! Long story short, my family and i, were ready to sign on the dotted line for the finance, £120,000. I got a phone call a few days later (this was prior to signing), a surprising call, to say that they didn't feel i was motivated enough to continue with the course. Sorry, but what! Yeah, exactly. I explained that even though i failed first time, i had the motivation to go on, improve, and come back and do better. I did just that. I explained that someone who ISN'T motivated, wouldn't be ready to sign away that much money. The lady over the phone said that this is what she got told to say to me, and when i asked if i could speak to someone senior, they weren't available. Chiseled off doesn't describe it, but I've moved on. Looking to go into the RAF in the new year (if they accept me). If not, back to good ol IT...... wo hoo..... haha. How's everyone anyway?

Okay guys and gals, so.... To start off with, it would be better me just getting a new router to replace my Home Hub 3. - Done. Will look into this today. I have read into the 'plug' socket wireless connections, but have found mixed reviews on them, more leaning towards negative comments. As i'm not that... how can i put it... networky, what is being recommended for the coverage of my house (bar the new router) and how would i bridge a connection from the back of my house to the back of the garden (53 meters (rounded up) measured today) / How could i have a complete property with wireless coverage? My budget is around £500 give or take £100. As stated, i'm looking for a futureproof and robust design with no flaws. Something like:- House - Router > AP / Router > AP x2 (one for downstairs near the back of the house and one for upstairs?) Outdoor - AP x2 (one on either side of my fence panels) linked from the other house AP? (Is that possible?) Outdoor v2 - AP Which then bridges a connection to the back building Back building - AP / Router? I dunno how i'd go about it? Again, not too network savvy. Edit: @jmak Thanks for asking. Haven't started yet as i passed everything on the assessment bar my mathematics exam (Stupid 4%). I'm going to have to retake that and only that in a few months, then i can get going along the process of becoming a pilot Currently been refurbishing the house, pain in the backside, rather be working lol

Hey folks, been a while. Help. Looking for some guidance, as my brain is fried. I'm looking for a full functioning wireless (MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE wired) solution to cover all of my property. Im looking into replacing my BT HH3 and Openreach modem with the TP Link TD-W9980 Modem Router combo, or keeping the openreach modem and buying a AC1750 Wireless Dual band router. That in itself is a pain in the backside to decide which route to take, thus any advice would be beneficial. Secondly, i need full 'no lag no hassle' wireless to be operational around the property. If, (unlikely) the router covers the house for wireless, i'm wondering how i would cover the building at the back of the garden (about 50 - 60 meters away)? I was thinking about a repeater? Not sure how effective it would be. Maybe APs? But then i wouldn't want to trail a cable that far. I'd be looking for a fully functioning wireless system to the AP at the back of the garden? If possible? If i had to, and there wasn't any other options, i'd look into ploughing up the back with a trench to the front, and chuck in a cat 7 and hope it lasts and remains future proof. So...... Help meee Thanks for any input given! Edit: If it makes more sense, would mods recommend it to the networking tab?
