Not sure of the relevance of your question @localzuk my work is here but am sure at some point I will be returning home probably when I retire in 5 years time. -
[POLL] Should Scotland be an independent country?
ButterflyMoon replied to Gatt's topic in General Chat
If I was allowed to vote (am a Scot living in England) I would be a Yes vote. I am by no means into SNP by the same token not Labour or Conservative I just think we could do well independant. I also think that any of the English counties north of Watford Gap get a raw deal every bit as much as we Scots. The North East of England and Cumbria are prime examples of that. It is like living in forgotten regions as far as Westminster is concerned. If Independance can change that then am all for it. -

I think maybe for me it is way too soon after the tragic death of a lesbian friend who died tragically at Christmas over there way too soon and just before she was due to embark on a life of freedom. It could all have been so different had the laws been different....

For me I love the winter Olympics but there is just too much nonsense associated with this time. From gay right issues to the killing of dogs etc etc etc it has just kind of put me right off this time around.

Whatever the circumstance in her family it is still a very sad way to end your life. I agree with Witch in that why should a government snaffle someone's estate after their death! They are parasites every bit as much as absent family raking over a person's wealth. No one will ever know the reason's why this woman was estranged from her family but a sad lonely end is not a nice one.

I think maybe I didn't word my post very well. I think what am trying to say is this @AlexBillbridgenorth what makes you qualified to actually KNOW how bad someone back is or why they are on benefits. Have you got a medical background or do you work on the side for Atos. It is just your posts come over very judgemental I am sorry if I have misread them if this is not the case. Yes agreed there are shysters that buck the system but very many people have health issues that stop them from working for whatever reason.
