Have you installed all the perquisites as per documentation? Anything above 1903 windows, then you only need to install the visual c++ runtime 2013 12.0.40.664

Does the portable version work ok? I ask because the MSI has additional.Net detection built in, therefore I can remove it if needs be.

Are you using the MSI installer?

Also check that the “Server” services is running, if it’s disabled then turn it on.

You can play then as selected in single tracks or by default press ‘play’ and it will play all tracks one after another like a playlist. • NEW: A new audio library (BASS Audio) has been added as it is what is under pinning the CD Player within EWP. • NEW: A new audio library (NAudio) has been added to now detect whether the system is muted or not so that if you ask EWP to Mute Audio, it will do so unless the system is already muted, as EWP in this instance would unmute a muted system. Our CPOMS users all use username/password combo, thought about the Authenticator app but USB key no chance with our staff.

This has helped a few people out last year: Turn UAC on, reboot, turn UAC off, reboot and was able to print. Also your printers drivers may have to conform to the new v4 print architecture standards. Therefore replace all v3 drivers on the PC client or the printer server and see how you go.

Of course, it’s always perceived that an S5 state was the least power hungry state whilst allowing a computer to turn on by WOL, but to be honest I bet now it is negligible across the S states in terms of £ per PC per year costs and savings. I dare say not one techie has actually ever measured it and just gone off the theory and potential costs/savings.

We still use S5 state because we know the system is off completely, maximum power saving (other than switching off at the plug!) and it’s always worked for us 100% for the last 10 years.

Wiki is wrong, the S5 state does still work and it’s what state we use in Windows 10 1703 up to 1909. Interestingly enough some drive have started to disable S5 wol state in the INF driver file.

We had exactly the same issue. It seemed as if it was a Ethernet driver issue but low and behold for us I managed to track it down to the fact that the hard disks needed to be converted from MBR to GPT partitions. Nothing to do with WOL, I know!! If you are still experiencing issues with WOL then let me know as I have created a doc that goes through specific settings to change.

Hi all, Are pupils expected to give the laptop back or is it permanently theirs to keep. Clarification on ownership and if the pupil has the right to factory reset the computer is unclear. I understand there is MDM software installed by the local authorities so the device can be traced etc.. but can a pupil remove this? Any thoughts please...Thanks
