  4. Hello, i have recently taken over a support firm at a local primary school. When they left they deleted the dc and when i remove the workstations from their old domain it then takes off the software that they installed over gpo, that part is fine. When I have set up the new dc and added the machines to the new domain they dont seam to be applying all of the computer settings on start up. In face it keeps trying to uninstall the same piece of software and doesnt try to install the new software that i have pushed out. Any ideas or am i looking at a system rebuild of the workstations? thanks

Have many schools scrapped the LA broadband option and gone it alone? also do you need to make any arrangements to have a connection back to the LA in terms of admin machines? let me know your thoughts and experience on this please.

Hello, I have just replaced an old server with a shiny new one with server 2012 r2 on it. i have set up ad and gpo etc however the settings seam to be hit and miss. so of the machine have picked up the start up policy to install software etc and some havent, they all apply policies that add a network drive for sims but not settings such as proxy or wsus. 16. We are looking at getting rid of our paper signing in books and replacing it with a touch screen or ipad, anyone done similar. we want it to register visitors as well as staff but it also needs to sync with the cloud so in case of fire we can view who is in, ideally i want it separate to the device used to register people as i want to secure the device for obvious reasons. thanks
