Hello is anyone having an issue with rover or an app like this on ipads (flash browser) through a proxy? we use smoothwall at our schools the swurl version and dont see to be able to connect any of our ios devices to the browser though it works from home so not sure if the problem lies with the proxy or the filtering. Can anyone share any light on this please or suggest an app tried and tested in school that does work with proxy setups Regards

  3. Hello, has anyone else had an issue with rover and puffin (or any other apps that are flash browsers for ipads) when going through smoothwall proxy filtering? If so does anyone have a work around or know what ip address or actual address these browsers go through that could be unblocked on a content filtering system? Many thanks

  6. Hi, I am trying to dine grade to win7 over pxe but doesn't seam to want to boot into it I have made sure pxe is enabled first. I am using acer aspire e1 571
  7. Hi, can you help? One of my schools has asked for multiple tabs for home pages to be set on all of the teachers accounts. When I have tried to do this through GPO it only says upto IE8 and I cant seam to find another policy that would let me. Any advice?
  8. i just go with the class that its in, then whether its a pc kids use or staff, the staff machines are typically connected to the whiteboard so i sometimes use red-iwb for staff or red-pc-01 then phyically number the pc in that class. We are only a small school so its works for us
  9. If you are a school why not use office365, its free for education and also comes with share point. We use share point for all of our cloud storage and also has a team discussion area and diary. So Office does that lot for us along with email.

  11. Hi I was just wondering, does anyone know of any kind of standard for colours of cables when wiring up a comms cab? For example yellow for wifi points green for networked printers etc? Or is it purley a matter of choice and preference on the administrators part? Any thoughts would be kindly appreicated
