Hi all I am thinking of renewing my wifi in school, currently i have 5 cisco access points around the building, its a few years old now so I know speeds etc will be quicker. Can anyone offer some recommendations for implementing a new wifi system in school (we have around 40 ipads in school and half a dozen laptops that use wifi)

At my school only myself and the Head have access to the account. We only ever say the class name rather than the students names and individual shots are avoided where possible. As to what we tweet about, it is normally reminders or achievements for either the school or groups of children. We also say thank you to anyone who donates to the school (we are a special school so it happens fairly often)

Any ideas, since the summer holidays a lot of users have said when they are trying to save a document that they are editing it is flashing read only. I have gone on to my sever and untick the box for read only but a couple of days later they appear to revert back. Any suggestions?

Not sure if this is the right section for this post so fee free to move if it isn't. I would like help to find a suitable curriculum for our special school children. We bought into Rising Stars "switched on computing" but it is too advanced for alot of our children as they work on p scales rather than national curriculum. Can any one help with a suitable scheme of work etc for this. Thanks in advance

We have generic accounts for nursery, r, y1 & y2 but once they move over to ks2 we give them individual logins. Most kids use individual logins for things like Reading Eggs or Purple Mash anyways so not alot of harm giving them logins for pcs on top of that.

ah sorry, dam auto text. didnt know if film companies where more relaxed about that sort of thing with education

so simply a no then, i have told them not to do anything but did notice other schools do have music videos and characters on theirs, didnt want to risk doing anything until i found clarification though.

Just a query, some of my staff are wanting to use Disney characters and other movies like that on our school website. Is this allowed or do you need to seek permission from the film company first?
