Hi Stuart, Bromcom are very much alive - if they weren't, I'd be out of a job! They also tick all the boxes of what you require.

I would have expected all the MISs in schools to have some sort of paperless document management system built in.

So, how is the OP's hunt for a replacement system going, I wonder?

I second looking at the companies listed on the IMLS Framework, as I know some can grant underlying database access (read only) if required.

Have you tried looking at the list of MIS providers as suggested by the DfE who are on the IMLS framework? I'd suggest that may be a good place to start. Good luck!

I've got a Galaxy S3 and am very happy with it (bought in December last year), although I wish I'd waited a little longer as the S4 is due out soon and looks even better (of course)!

Fundamentally, it's a staff/student database, just that different MIS providers will have their own way of presenting the information to you.
