Hi, our school offers 'A' level courses to a local school. Both schools use O365. Today a pupil from the other school came to see us as they couldn't open one of their notebooks on their main school O365 account in OneNote. A bit of head scratching and going through forgetting accounts etc.. Then I noticed that even though they were logged in as school A on OneNote the URL for the notebook was school B. So to access the notebook they had to log in as school B. All of the other notebooks were school A. How is this possible? and how do we stop it (if we can) from happening again and can we change the notebook back from school B to school A.

That's the problem the students don't seem to know or have access to these and trying to explain to PE staff that this is an issue is like knitting fog. We have in the past screen grabbed them but this takes up time and a PC to do it.

We have students who are members of sports clubs who film using the Veo system. How do you download/access these files? Do you insist that they do it with their club membership or do you screen grab the video's?

This was what our DM was told when they spoke to BROMCOM about it.

Links for parents evenings no problem. We have dropped most of the 'one stop shop' stuff as they just don't work as well as some of the other products out there. I'm almost wishing we had SIMS

This is what we were told by BROMCOM "They say it is a staff training issue. Staff have to either ignore the fact that the room is not free and book anyway Actively untick –‘only show free rooms’ to find the one they want. You can’t factor this in! Or when booking a recurring event, not check all subsequent dates . It may be free this week/next, but not 3 weeks’ time. It is a staff training issue as far as they are concerned." Its easier to herd cats than train staff if their is a loophole

Apparently we've tried but its not fixed. Block bookings seem to be the problem, they can over write existing bookings. There is a warning but staff just ignore the screen message!!! We are looking at the school cloud option as we use them for parents evening.

Hi, we have an issue where staff are able to double book rooms in BROMCOM which as you can imagine causes no end of problem. Does anyone out there us an alternative room booking system (online) and if so which one and does it use the wonders of WONDE to link to BROMCOMS timetable. Alternatively does anyone know of a way of 100% stopping staff double booking in BROMCOM. Cheers

Hi, we prevent access to the c: drive for users so cannot use the OneDrive client. Do people allow access these days and just hide the c: drive or is there a way of giving access to the portion of the c: drive that the client (machine install not local) needs. I don't want to do this school wide but just for one or two people.

I suppose its no different to how the French view the English Channel though the name Channel Le Manche doesn't reference France

We had a tub of celebrations in a cardboard container this Christmas. Worked very well.

Though we are in walking distance of the town center we get foxes and deer in the school grounds

South Lincolnshire Academies Trust are seeking to appoint two IT Technicians to join a small team of dedicated staff to assist with the running of the Trust’s well-equipped IT network. The successful candidates will primarily be based at Bourne Academy or Cowley Academy and may occasionally have to provide support at one of the other Trust schools for which mileage will be paid. https://www.slat.org.uk/job/it-technicians-2/
