  1. We were nominally closed at the weekend, most staff off site but some 'essential' onsite but not happy (no SLT to be seen, all working from home) kicked off big style when the bursar waltzed in and suggested people carry on coming in to work as they can't work from home. Admin staff very very unhappy but sense seems to be prevailing now and were officially off site unless emergency. With the impending national closure a bit of common sense would have saved some-of the tears and anger today.
  2. All gone here but then we are closed
  3. OK not sure if I can post this here - please remove or relocate. We've got it, told at weekend. Only essential staff in (first time I've been seen as essential). Total confusion! Been pushing Teams for a while to absolute no interest. Now its the 'Garlic Bread' of teaching and school communications. The analogise such as p**s up in a brewery etc don't describe the total shower of droppings that this is here. No comms, no decisions and by the looks of the car park no SMT. Beggars belief.
  4. Office 365 Sharepoint
  5. I'll throw in a curve ball.......River as she is good at escaping from prisons
  6. Yes but in Timelord society in the novel it was a stigma and something to be ridiculed (not that I'm being belly button ist)
  7. Depending on which Canon you follow in the Virgin New Adventures Book Lungbarrow it was noted that the doctor had a belly button suggesting that he was born naturally. Other timelords were genetically spun and were not naturally born so do not have belly buttons. This fits in with this episode. Now how about this. Tecteun found the child who had come through a portal. This child was from a future Galifrey!
  8. Anyone else wonder if the Cybermen attended the same military training as Imperial Storm Troopers? Both of them have trouble hitting the target Defiantly much improved over the last season and I'm really warming to Jodie as the doctor. Interesting about the regenerations but then they need to address the doctors ability to regenerate more often and at a tangent as well. Like the thought of a new timelord secret society much like the CIA of old. Regenerating Cybermen and the master escape? Oh and I like this Master very much. Is this the end of the fam? I kind of hope so
  9. Hi, PITA user (high up the food chain) was a big fan of IE11 and was able to open a pdf on a web page and use tool -> Page -> send by email to send the pdf as an email. They don't want to have the inconvenience of downloading the pdf and then sending. I can't for the life of me see how they can do this in Chrome! Anybody know?
  10. Excellent episodes but what was the drilling in to the cyber man about?
  11. Still need Java for things like BMS. Only Site Manager and myself have it. Flash for Boardworks?
  12. Overall I'm enjoying this Season but I'm afraid last night was one of those weak 'filler' episodes. Thought the bad guys were awesome but for something supposedly so powerful they sure got caught out by the same trick again.
  13. Hi, anyone gone through this process, especially for WorldPay? We have a public concert venue and use their services. Apparently we get charged £20+ a month as we are non compliant with their compliance criteria. Massive document with many questions, not all tech related but quite a few that I'm struggling to see if they apply or if we comply with them.
  14. Not that this reply will help in any way but I had/have a similar issue. Users get a yellow triangle in network connection and says no internet. However they get internet BUT NOT O365!!!! I use Kaspersky endpoint and the solution was/is to role out latest network agent and then update endpoint version. Is there something similar in SOPHOS?
  15. Tesla's night of terror very much reminded me of the Van Gough one from the Matt Smith era. Nice but nothing special and the Alien queen was a rip off of the queen from one of the Tennant Christmas Specials.
  16. Apparently JRR did draw some of the maps but it was Christopher who drew the final maps for publication.
  17. I never knew that it was him who had drawn the LOTR maps.
  18. Interesting read on the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51014028 As many of us fit in this category I wonder how e feel day to day. I have a few of these issues and Dyslexia is a big problem for me. This week we had an inspection so I had to setup a separate Wi-Fi for the inspectors. Tested it with no problems, created a logon guide but then had a hospital appointment (been waiting 3 months) so was off site. Anyway I'd spelt the password wrong so came back to much finger pointing. Made to feel a right Chump.
  19. Why does the new doctor remind me so much of David Tennant. Love the new 'manic' master, probably my favourite portrayal of the reboot series (sorry Mr Saxon) Too many companions and I thought last season Ryan was cool calling Graham Dad?
  20. OMG if only!!! We allow access up till half term (Oct) then disable them again. Finally delete accounts at Easter because you can bet your bottom dollar that some future highly paid professional will have forgotten about an important email or something. Not my decision I'd disable then let them request but our HOSF and Principle see it otherwise.
  21. Sure that in the book the red weed dies at the same time as the Martians.
  22. Trouble I am having is that my mind keeps thinking of the excellent Jeff Wayne audio version. Doesn't help being on after His Dark Materials either.
  23. Damn is this why as a child of the 70's I only achieved 9 'O' levels, 2 'A' Levels a post graduate qualification and a Masters equivalent professional qualification (in Marketing before I switched allegiance) because all we had were books, blackboards, Video's/Films and a OHP. I've been denied my chance in life
  24. Yep we have kids age 7 to 18 in a boarding situation (home from home) and via policies allow age dependent access based on AD groups etc.. Bit of a Faff setting up but so far so good. Customer service - well lets just say I had to make a complaint but that did the trick for my last call.
  25. So why would it be intermittent surely it either blocks or doesn't and why does a reboot of the PC fix it?
