  1. Same issue here. SMART Notebook 23.2.1668.0 User is reporting a crash every 10 minutes or so!
  2. I've used drawio.com a couple of times before. I understand it to be an open source equivalent to Visio. It did the job perfectly!
  3. Do you have an auth pop up when printing? If so, it could be this issue: https://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/JobsStuckWithStatusOfPrinting If so, you can kill printisolationhost.exe (sometimes have to do it twice) and it skips the 'bad' job and continues.
  4. Have you checked in chrome://policy from one of the logged in Chromebooks? That should show you all applied policies.
  5. Can you send a screenshot? The volume slider is above the ringtone selector
  6. Unless they can explain what exactly about the local environment is causing this, I would suggest that you may have been fobbed-off. It's very convenient for them to blame the local environment and not be more specific. I would push back and ask for more info.
  7. Depending on how tech-savvy they are, a free solution is VNC and PowerPoint.
  8. This is what we do. Just be aware that the folders can take a little while to be deleted due to the sheer number of files within them (mostly in appdata). We had a machine with over 50 local pupil profiles, and it taken around 15 mins to delete them all in the background after applying the gpo and rebooting.
  9. Forgive me for asking, but isn't that what your company does - advises on questions like this? From your website: "Supporting education organisations by designing, building and delivering specialist technology services, support and solutions." This question gives the impression that a customer of yours has asked the question, and you're relaying it to the forum instead of having an answer.
  10. If you haven't already done so, give Promethean support a call. They're very helpful. Last time we called with an issue, they gave us a newer firmware that flashed onto the board via USB stick.
  11. Tried an older version of ActivInspire?
  12. Are they saying Anydesk isn't secure? Or the fact that you're logging in from (presumably) a non-school device? VPN + Remote desktop is always an option.
  13. I've seen - but never questioned - the same behaviour. It only appears to happen for global admins.
  14. Blueprint in AC2: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/apple-configurator-mac/cad5b401e306/mac
  15. Could you elaborate, please?
  16. You can browse SMB shares directly through the built-in 'Files' app now. Not sure if you are able to copy and paste the video within the same app? https://osxdaily.com/2019/11/04/how-connect-smb-share-iphone-ipad-files-app/
  17. We also need FTP details please. Not happy about having to go through these channels instead of the main website. Are Dynabook too ashamed to list these devices on their website?
  18. Using Chromebooks in a O365 environment We followed this guide and it works perfectly!
  19. 2 out of many primaries that we provide support to have their domain names as schoolname.co.uk Both have recently been cc'd on emails from Google showing that somebody is trying to set up and verify Google Workspace for Education but using schoolname.org.uk instead - even using a genuine member of staff's name picked from the school website. The domain names have only been registered days before with 123-reg. Google were smart enough to find the correct domain name through DfE website and cc. them in, otherwise they would've had no idea! The school and website providers have confirmed that they have not registered this new domain name. We have responded to Google who have shut down the fraudulent tenant. (The owners of the malicious tenant have since changed MX records to Office 365) We have emailed abuse@123-reg multiple times who never respond or take action. We have called them and been told to await a response - which never arrives. We have also emailed Nominet who say nothing can be done unless authorised by law enforcement. Has anyone ever experienced this? I can't work out what the 'end goal' is for these malicious sign-ups. Any suggestions to get this issue resolved?
  20. I'm 99% sure I've had this exact problem with this software. From what I recall it wouldn't open it from a UNC path, but would work from a mapped drive. Hope this helps
  21. Any work on if we need to block this through automatic updates yet?
  22. Never mind, discovered that domain admins weren't made part of the local admins when joining the domain for whatever reason, even if the client left and re-joined the domain. Weird
  23. Is disabled on server and client. Also, can't RDP to client with domain admin account, but can with others
  24. Have just set up some Windows 7 clients on site running off a existing 2008r2 server, but I cant seem to do most things remotely from our server or between machines eg. Event Viewer > Connect to another computer VAMT 2.0 > Update computer info Beginning Sophos installation from Enterprise Console over AD .. everything is 'Access is Denied' or similar Google is pointing towards DCOM problems and how to troubleshoot, but everything seems to be fine with that except for running the DCOM diagnostics which is saying 'Access is Denied' Can Ping fine, have also double checked IP settings. Group policy also applying fine Strangely enough it all works fine on Windows XP machines, or if the program lets me use alternative credentials to connect I can use the local administrator accounts to access the machines fine. Anyone have any ideas? It would be very much appreciated!
  25. For anyone wondering, WSUS was the culprit! Removed and everything works tickety-boo again.
