This should, of course, say allegations. On Netflix being cancellation crims: At least, as far as I remember, they haven't totally pulled shows from the platform like Disney did with "Willow".

This should be required viewing for all non-technical staff to remind them that they shouldn't IT off!

As someone who bought the "Sandman" comics on release I'm going to have to disagree on which I'd rather have a second season of - especially if they do "A Midsummer Night's Dream". That said, they'd set things up nicely for a second season of DBD that we'll now never see. They could be dialing back on Neil Gaiman shows after recent revelations. The Netflix cancellation I think I'm most miffed at would be "Shadow and Bone". It wasn't a great show, and its ambition outstretched its budget, but they never got to the best bits of the "Crows" books.

Netflix have just announced a third season of this, to be released in 2025.

Finished Dead Boy Detectives on Netflix. Kinda enjoyed it, but didn't love it. Best character was the evil witch! Bad news for any fans: I seem to be in the majority as Netflix have given it the axe.

The Homebase stores near me are all in areas I generally never go to. Been meaning to pick up some storage boxes they have on offer. Wonder if they'll go up or down in price with this news?

The other selling point for the staff was the backlit keyboard (we've never had any and I doubt any of the staff own personal laptops, let alone backlit ones). Makes them look very snazzy which, as we all know, automatically doubles the perceived speed of any device.

Had some at the beginning of term; so far, so good. Depending on your staff there may be some "unknown brand" resistance. Mentioning VPC's "Dragon's Den" appearance and their supply of our suite (still going pretty well after way too many years) seemed to quash those "objections". The only "problem" so far has been "that" teacher who claimed a display problem that neither myself nor the head could see, even under subsequently described conditions and had a key "fall off". Pricing was pretty good and, as usual, VPC's service was great.

Paddington In Peru (Cinema) When Aunt Lucy is reported missing Paddington and the Brown family head to Peru to find her. A lot of fun, but not as magical as the first two - admittedly, they set a VERY high bar! Also, the first trailer made a plot surprise way too obvious (they obscured this in later trailers). The mid credits scene is worth a look, but probably not worth staying for the post-credits.

Apparently there are already sequels planned. The first will see Taron Egerton's wife and co-workers being held hostage at Christmas in a corporate skyscraper by villains whose real plan is to steal valuables from the building, whilst the third will see Egerton team up with Aldis Hodge in a deadly game of "Simon Says" set by the brother of Jason Bateman's character from the first film.

Hmm... I won't rush to catch up, then.

Are there season conclusions? I watched an enjoyed the first episode but it seemed as if it should be "one season and done" show, so the existence of S2 kinda put me off.

Finished Ludwig on iPlayer. Worth a look if you like cosy crime, though the final "solution" was obvious pretty early on.

I was worried that the unfathomably poor box office for the last part had killed this. Happy to see it's coming!

Devara Part 1 (Netflix) Trailer pretty violent and so probably NSFW. After a lengthy framing sequence involving a policeman in 1996 trying to track down someone supplying terrorists that I assume will be more relevant in Part 2 (if they make it as this one wasn't as huge as had been hoped for), we learn the story of Devara. He leads a band of pirate types in a region of India, possibly in the 1980s - the timeline doesn't make a lot of sense. When some of the area's inhabitants are killed and Devara learns that hie and his men "liberated" the weapons used, he decides that they must give up their piratical ways. This doesn't sit well with his 2ic Bhaira, who is a bit too keen on the old ultraviolence and who arranges for Devara to sleep with the fishes. Devara slaughters the large force sent to kill him and leaves a message written in blood for the village: They must obey his edict not to go back to piracy or they will suffer his wrath. He then disappears. A decade or so later the village is still obeying his rule, but Bhaira wants to return to the old ways and has trained a force to do so. There are rumours that Devara is still watching to make sure his rules are followed but even his own son, the somewhat useless Vara, discounts them. Bhaira just needs to draw out Devara so that he and his men can start raiding ships again... Quite a fun, if hard to believe, action flick. There's some unintentional comedy in Devara/Vara's admirer announcing quite frequently that she wants a man who will make her "erupt". I'm certainly up for Part 2. For some reason some sequences are labelled "CGI", possibly in case you thought the star was actually fighting a real shark?

One of my sites, where teachers commonly use the "But it's for the CHILDREN!!!" cry to try to flout various rules and regulations, has recently been pulled up by a supplier who noticed that the one person who had paid for a license seemed to be using it from multiple IP addresses simultaneously. The school has been made to buy an appropriate site license. So - it can, and does, happen to schools. I'm hoping that this will prompt a review of such practices in the school. Please don't wake me from my wonderful dream.

Fighter (Netflix) India's top pilots must defend their country from those untrustworthy Pakistanis. Starring Hrithik Roshan ("War") who is apparently so hot that, to go by his slo-mo intro in this and "War", straight guys start to drool at the mere sight of, Deepika Padukone ("Pathaan", "Jawan", "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage") and Anil "Who Want To Be Millonaire" Kapoor. Basically it's Top Gun/Maverick* dialled up to the max: More motorbikes, more singing, more blatant shots of topless guys and, crucially, much more aerial action. Lots of fun. *Hated the original, so never bothered with the sequel and going by the trailer.

Gave up on Citadel: Diana on Prime. Couldn't get into it, not helped by not realising the first ep was presented to me dubbed. Finished Agatha All Along on Disney. Shame the actual final revelations didn't beat those in episode seven, but quite fun. Paris Has Fallen on Prime is worth a look if you are into "don't question things too closely" thrillers.

Looks more fun than the Italian "Citadel". Admittedly a very low bar. The song in the Indian version of the trailer is different. Just a trailer choice, or are there regional variations?
