w00t w00t, shall test drive this later -
A little thought: Many companies (if not all) will declare anything you produce on their time is their property, and as such they'll retain any intellectual property rights and the right to exploit or sell whatever produced as they see fit. Did you do this on company time? Are they aware of, and ok with, you distributing it? I'd hate to see it bite you in the arse later.

[pics] Error Messages To Make You Laugh Out Loud
Ryan replied to 6Foot2's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
Reminds me of these Japanese Haiku error messages. Add a little poetry to your day. -------------------------------------------- The Web site you seek Cannot be located, but Countless more exist. -------------------------------------------- Chaos reigns within. Reflect, repent, and reboot. Order shall return. -------------------------------------------- Program aborting Close all that you have worked on. You ask far too much. -------------------------------------------- Windows NT crashed. I am the Blue Screen of Death. No one hears your screams. -------------------------------------------- Yesterday it worked. Today it is not working. Windows is like that. -------------------------------------------- Your file was so big. It might be very useful. But now it is gone. -------------------------------------------- Stay the patient course. Of little worth is your ire. The network is down. -------------------------------------------- A crash reduces Your expensive computer To a simple stone. -------------------------------------------- Three things are certain Death, taxes and lost data. Guess which has occurred. -------------------------------------------- You step in the stream, But the water has moved on. This page is not here. -------------------------------------------- Out of memory. We wish to hold the whole sky, But we never will. -------------------------------------------- Having been erased, The document you're seeking Must now be retyped. -------------------------------------------- Serious error. All shortcuts have disappeared. Screen. Mind. Both are blank. -------------------------------------------- (Aids. Just noticed this was previously posted elsewhere. If you have previously seen the contents of this post, avert thine eyes before continuing to the next) -

I've always set the pagefile to a fixed size, doesn't seem to help allowing the OS to fiddle with it as it sees fit. Few recent (as in last year) articles in magazines confirmed this with speed tests. Not a biblical increase in speed, but certainly more efficient. *shrugs* Edit: From: http://www.petri.co.il/pagefile_optimization.htm

Yep, as Shane says, you need to be pulling that information back in. There's nothing being passed from the dropdown selection. And i won't mention the use of the deprecated FONT tag or the replication of code at this point

I picked up several copies of Worms World Party from Game (3 for £10) for the kids here. They bloody love it. I regularly spend my lunchtimes kicking arse with flying sheep and banana bombs Edit: will happily run on a 300MHz laptop btw

I think it's a good shout to be honest. Keeping it vague removes any possibility that they'll get complaints based on a multitude of things (being pro-nazi, being anti-nazi, being an actual nazi) and keeps it all light and fun, which is the primary goal. They want to avoid any association with anything controversial (in a war game, oh the irony). I think EA have adopted this strategy and applied it to a number of recent games. From what i've read, nowhere in COD4 does it mention where you're off to to kill people - it's always called "THE MIDDLE EAST" Gives the religious extremists one less reason to phone their lawyers or strap on the C4.

I've done something like this recently for a couple of little projects. I'll post again when i get home. Where's the contents of your list coming from? Database/file or hand-coded?

They're gonna try and keep them as low as possible in order to allow as many people as possible to play it. They'll be ripping a lot out of the engine to keep the weight down. Reported minimum specs: 1Ghz CPU, 512 MB Ram, 64 MB Video Card, 500 MB HDD Space.

"You will be able to play this game on grandma's laptop" apparently. It's a slimmed down version of Battlefield, and will be free. It's funded by adverts and in-game purchases (eg to customise the look of your player) Looks awesome and i can't wait to get my filthy hands on it. Due Summer. http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/images/heroes-desktops/preview/cut-scene.jpg *BBC Article* *wiki entry* *official site* *new trailer* << watch this, it's hilarious

Main problem: To stop it blocking All Users, you need to remove All Users from the condition, and set that to the group you made that's got the kids in it. Add a new User Set in ISA that corresponds to the AD group you just made, then apply the rule to that new set.

Think you need admin rights (local or domain) to do such a thing, dontcha? If you're comfy granting them local admin, you could do. Dunno if the ability to fiddle with the clock can be unlocked separately?

Is there an 'Everyone' group built into Exchange by default?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but i found a little solution to this so thought i'd post for future reference in case it's useful for anyone. Problem: IPs shown in Computer Management "Sessions" folder, computer names shown occasionally, and intermittently. Solution: In Computer Management, open "Services and Applications > DHCP > Address Leases". Then look back in Sessions. I found this by accident, but once you look in the above, it seems to resolve all the IPs in Comp Mgmt > Sessions.

Ah, you want it to run on EVERY shutdown. Is this necessary?
