  1. I was jut about to install HP WebJet tool onto our CC3 server, but it informs me that I need .NET Framework Service Pack 1 to install. Okay, I can download SP1, but is it safe to install it onto our CC3 server without it completely messing things up? Will I need a package to send out to all of our stations too? Any ideas?
  2. Have had some info back from Halcyon, so for anyone that want's to know...
  3. Our bursar has received an email advertising the Halcyon Education Show in November 2008. However, the details provided are not too clear and there is nothing on their website. Has this "Education Show" ever existed in the past? Has anyone any experience with attending? Is it worth going? Or could it be over-hype to try and sell their stuff? Any ideas?
  4. That works perfectly. Thank you very much
  5. We don't use easylink in our school. I should clarify that the staff computers are in school and connected up to the network. We don't need access from home, just in the classrooms.
  6. Is there any way to access CC3 Learning Resources on a non-CC3 computer? Our teachers would like a shortcut on their desktops so that they can access the Learning Resources, as you would when you log onto a CC3 PC. Is there an address that can just be typed into IE? (I know you can access the RM Management Console like this, but that is more than I want for the teachers) Has anyone got any ideas?
  7. Doesn't work in CC3. Worth a try though!
  8. Is there any way to set multiple homepages for IE7 through the CC3 management console? ie. Two tabs when users start up IE Cant figure out how. Is this possible?
  9. Has anyone got any experience connecting Asus EEE PCs onto a CC3 network? The RM FAQs regarding how they work on a CC3 network seem very detailed, but don't seem to give me much information! I would love for users to be able to log-on to the EEE PCs in a similar way to a CC3 PC and have access to their individual documents. Is this possible? It is not clear if I would need the Linux or Windows flavour, if I would also need RM Client Connect (especially if choosing the Windows version)? Are there any other hidden costs or problems that I would need to take into account? Also, as a little side question, are their charging units available for EEE PCs (laptop trolley style)?
  10. Is anyone else experiencing problems with receiving emails outside of their school domain since the switch over last weekend? I have had a number of users report this (including myself).
  11. We have recently bought a HP ML310 G5 server, and a spare hard drive to fit in. However, I have discovered on its arrival that the drive needs to be fitted into a hot swap enclosure. Does anyone have any ideas where you can buy these hot swap enclosures from to fit in our own HD?
  12. I'm glad that I am not the only one that has had bad experience with A2Z in Loughborough. If I listed all of the problems I have had, from start to finish, I would run out of space in this post! We have been fighting with A2Z since the start of September 2007 to come in and finish their work - that is 4 1/2 months and counting! Their communication is almost non-existant (a number of times we have had to email and phone every other day just to get a response). We will be breaking out the champagne when it's all done.
