Thank you everyone for your concise replies. I was looking for anyone with experience from the move from ScholarPack to Bromcom really. The Bromcom excel extract they require seems impossible to obtain from ScholarPack via their basic reporting system (none of their basic reports cover it - though, and we cant extract via SQL (im pretty sharp at that myself), we cant export to .CSV either. Given the excel extracts that Bromcom expect us to export the data into i don't think they've much experience if any with a ScholarPack migration?

we've got a primary that wants to move from Scholarpack to Bromcom, nothing wrong with their Scholarpack MIS but their Head is a previous Bromcom user and very keen to move. Has anyone on here had much success in getting out Attendance data for the migration via the excel spreadsheets that Bromcom sends the school to complete? ScholarPack reporting is very basic, though you can do a mail merge but only using certain fields in their system, you cant define it in the report like you can with Bromcom, as above i recommend doing a word/outlook mail merge

we switched from CMIS to Bromcom 6 years ago and haven't looked back. The migration was very smooth, only a few hiccups, but that was our 'dirty' data, not Bromcom's fault. We've since become a MAT and the other schools have taken on Bromcom too which makes life a lot easier with information sharing. I feel we've spoilt the SLT a bit with the capability of the system and they expect more than any MIS is capable of... I cannot speak for the Bromcom support desk as we have our helpdesk support through our LA - they tend to iron out the problems in advance for us, advise on Census errors (and helped us realise we'd 'missed' £35,000 of potential funding - we know Bromcom support cant do that for us) and we get our MIS cheaper as a collective too. So in terms of recommendation - Bromcom is a hit for us at this moment in time.

Hi Bromcom _Support, I already have, it was your support desk that advised of that when I reported that they were not working for us. I've tested on pre and post migration installs. If they are now working since my call then I stand corrected

I second this, I like their new assessment, far superior then the original. My only gripe - some of the assessment system reports don't work on the new assessment set up....

Can I just update this - we made the move from Bromcom to ScholarPack and it was quite painless. a few little niggles, but nothing the support team at ScholarPack couldn't handle. The school staff are very pleased with their new MIS!

If you are still having trouble with a standalone install then PM me as I have some useful documentation for you. We install a standalone version to test the upgrade prior to applying to the live facility install.

Our (Primary) school is looking to move from Bromcom to Scholarpack, has anyone undertaken this data migration process? did all data migrate correctly? Anyone?

thank you vikpaw, the school are looking to use this as a replacement MIS from Facility, they want a copy of the SQL db. Ive read that its only demo version, was wondering if anyone on here used a live version. It looks fab on the slides that ive seen anyway - just like Progresso did!

Has anyone on this forum had any experience of Arbor Education MIS? One of our schools is thinking about using it and we've no experience? any information at all please. Yours, Desperate in Staffordshire

my first post! the new EYFSP started in September.... Serco havent produced anything to record the new EYFSP (despite reminders, they did respond last week to inform me they were not updating the current FSP V2 as there are no 'changes' in the new EYFSP for 12/13?!?!). Have any other suppliers got heir heads around the new EYFSP yet? I understand that SIMS havent caught up yet either. But i hear that third party suppliers are doing the 'rounds' in schools selling an alternative to eProfile/eye-profile.... Has anyone started recording their EYFSP for 12/13 yet? are you receiving pressure from teachers/Heads?
