I don't know if partypoker allow you to setup private tournys. Pokerstars is easy as we have done it before.

we have a couple of vent / ts2 servers we can use to abuse each other. OK, second week in August would be the preliminary date. Does anyone have a problem with this? Jon

Evening Guys, Would anyone be interested in playing in an edugeek poker tourny one evening? Pokerstars, as well as other sites allow you to setup your own tournaments that require a password to register. Might be an idea for a fun evening! What days would suit people? Weekends might be better but it depends how many of us have friends to go out into the 'real' world with As for buyin I was thinking of somewhere between $5 and $10. Not a huge amount of money. Ideally, we would need at least 6 people to make it worth it but the more the merrier. Once I have a few people interested I will create the tourny on pokerstars and give you guys the password. You can then register yourself and wait to have your money taken off you Depositing cash in pokerstars is easy. They accept things like netteller as well as any visa/mastercard debit/credit card. You can put as much or as little on as you please. What do you think? Do I have anyones interest? Jon

Morning Guys, I am trying to find a server cabinet to host another server farm in one of our other buildings. The thing is, it needs to be *self cooled*. There is nowhere to locate it where it is viable to install an air con system. It will be housing HP 380's and APC 2200's UPS's. Ideally, the footprint needs to be no more than 700x700 (not sure if they even exist and if its going to be big enough to house the above kit.) Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks Jon

Take a look at the Panasonic Toughbooks. They are pricey but can withstand abuse from the average teacher

Hey guys, I was wondering if it was possible for you guys to list some of your moodle sites that have guest access (or even create me a student account ) so I can see how you are presenting your front page. I am talking the main page, not the login page. Ours looks a bit crappy and Im trying to get some ideas on ways to tart it up a bit. not being a website designer or knowing any coding / script of any kind I am finding it rather limited. If you are unwilling to give me access, perhaps a quick screenshot of your page would be ok? Thanks peeps jon

Changing the way course lists are displayed in moodle 1.8
m1ddy replied to m1ddy's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Thats weird because a lot of the sites I have been browsing through seem to do this quite a lot. They have a mixture of normal courses with the description and in other places they just have the list with the course titles only. Jon -
Seems a bit pricey for that spec card? Also, it only seems to have one head? or am i being a tard. Jon

Finally decided to sort my dual monitor solution. Quick question, does anyone know off hand what interface a Dell Opti 745 has. I "think" its pci-e but too sure. Also dunno if its x1 or x16. I either need a riser card for these chassis (desktop) or a low profile dual head card. All needs to be less than £40 ideally. Anyone give me any advice on any of the above? Ta

We have it on our 755s as well. After RIS'ing the machines, It still had an error in device manager which went away after installing a driver that contained the AMT software. The problem is there is a popup everytime a child logs on which they must click ok to get rid of. Anyone know a way of getting rid of this? Jon

Afternoon Guys, Just a quickie.... I am creating an area for parents to get various bits of info for the school and would like to change the apperance of the list of courses I have setup for this. Please see the attached screenshots. Can you tell me how to switch between the different formats of course listings? I am currently using the one that has descriptions about the course, but id like to use the one that simply shows a list of course names. Thanks Guys/Gals

Scan domain for specific user permissions and remove...
m1ddy replied to Ben_Stanton's topic in Windows
We dont tend to set permissions for individual users but instead create security groups and add the user/users to it. Then when its time to remove them, you just remove them from a group or delete the group altogether. Jon -
Guys, I am trying to sort out a schedule for powering on computers using LanView3. The first problem I have run in to is adding computers to a group. When i try to do this, all I get is the console flooding the following output.. Error detected: Mod: Server_mod - Proc: GetIPaddressFromDatabaseRecordNo - reason RecordNo less than zero Error detected: Mod: Server_mod - Proc: GetIPaddressFromDatabaseRecordNo - reason RecordNo less than zero Error detected: Mod: Server_mod - Proc: GetIPaddressFromDatabaseRecordNo - reason RecordNo less than zero Also, I am trying to use a batch file (.lvb) containing a list of computer names. I have edited a batch file to contain the following.... cls echo Any Console commands can be used but here are a few samples. Wake R005-01 Wake R005-02 Wake R005-03 Wake R005-04 Wake R005-05 All i get when this schudule is run is.... ScanBot>Echo Schedule event ' waking ' now running due to user manual execution (13/06/2008 at 13:09:46) Schedule event ' waking ' now running due to user manual execution (13/06/2008 at 13:09:46) ScanBot>wake.lvb Scanbot> TURNON: TURNON.LVB Scanbot> MAC address not known for that station. ScanBot>Echo Schedule event ' waking ' complete. (13/06/2008 at 13:09:46) Schedule event ' waking ' complete. (13/06/2008 at 13:09:46) Lanview has seen all 5 PC's before and knows their MAC address. I can WOL them manually... ITS REALLY PISSING ME OFF. I can't see what iv done wrong and as for the bit Scanbot> TURNON: TURNON.LVB i have NO idea where that is coming from. Please help
