Indeed. The last time I looked at it for Education, Censornet was the best value option for me as you only paid for staff; they threw in student accounts for free. For 700-ish staff, I think the cost was in the region of £14k for three years. Bear in mind that was more than five years ago that I last looked at it. Others, such as Mimecast, were significantly more expensive.

I did wonder about that when there were a load of Fraser Finance adverts on the front page of the site the eBuyer site remnant was linking to. To my eternal shame, i used to work for Watford Electronics back in the late 90s. Before they went bust, the MD of that firm had a habit of buying defunct computer brands (Time, Tiny, Carerra) and trying to integrate them into the main business. Looks like Mike Ashley is doing the same.

Watching the new King of the Hill series on DisneyPlus. Was Peggy Hill always this insufferable or was it something that happened gradually?

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan dies aged 71 'after suffering cardiac arrest'
Norphy replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
Really, considering the steroid abuse that he and his contemporaries put themselves through, it’s impressive he lasted that long. He was always entertaining as a wrestler but I’m not sure about him as a person; he always seemed to have rather controversial views on things. -
I watched this on Netflix a few months back. It’s by no means Tom Hanks’ best work but it’s an entertaining enough film

Just started watching Asterix and the Big Fight on Netflix with my son. The animation is maybe a little basic but it matches with Uderzo’s drawing style really nicely. The first episode deals with the backstory of Obelix falling into the magic potion as a child and is an adaptation of ‘How Obelix fell into the magic potion when he was a boy’, with a few changes but none which are detrimental to the story. In any case, it was a good first episode and my son asked to watch the next episode straight away, which is usually a good sign for him.

Well, the source material is bloody excellent and they did a good job with The Martian, which is by the same author and I think the screenwriter for this is the same as the one they used for The Martian too. Signs are looking good!

My company uses Netskope. I don't have anything to do with managing it though, so I don't know what it's like in that regard.

Yeah, I remember those times. Before the TNT, the combined cards were dubious at best. The TNT2 was the first really good one but people still frequently combined it with the Voodoo 2 to get Glide. Then the GeForce came along and just blew everything out of the water. My favourite card from the time was the Matrox G400 though. The analogue image quality those produced was second to none. I remember changing to a GeForce 2 and being disappointed with how washed out and muted the colours looked compared to the G400.

Perhaps it should be better to say "Any version of Windows prior to Windows 10 or Server 2016" or something along those lines.

Well, considering most WiFi cards contain the Bluetooth module too, technically it had two jobs

£400. I wasn’t expecting it to be cheap, but that seems excessive.

The first Mac did come out in 1984, and its predecessors like the Lisa were out before so it is possible that someone has used them for 40+ years. My first Mac was a 20" iMac which ran Leopard. Must have been about 2008/2009 when I bought that thing.

Serious answer: At the moment, I'm using macOS and Windows 11 for work and I have Windows 11 installed on my personal computers. I'm not going to say that one is any better than the other; they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I like the macOS UI better overall, however.

If MS say it's not possible, I'm inclined to believe them.

I tried this at a school I worked at a few years ago. It did not go well. There were a lot of complaints from the students because they didn’t like the picture we used (it came from the MIS system, it was their student ID photo). The main issue however was that it massively increased bullying as the less pleasant part of the student body were taking screenshots of the photographs of the students they wanted to victimise and doing god knows what to them. We had to ditch them over to the school logo. Which was a shame, as the teachers liked it as they found it easier to identify students.

I miss the User CP from VBulletin and the "View last unread post" button. Something similar to both would be good.
