Has anyone applied the SIMS 2016 Spring Release yet?
StephenHardy replied to rwood10's topic in MIS Systems
Word of note however, if you have an earlier version installed on Windows 10, Solus wont recognise it as online until you delete the station in SOLUS and re-add to update it -

HP switches, you can do most in the config menu especially the spanning tree stuff. Set your VLANS there and tag your ports and away you go -

Do it yourself.... Use a heat gun to pry the screen off, replace battery and stick the screen back on - might be worth having a screen ready to order as they break easily -

Am I missing something here regarding the package deployments? We just grab the msi's from the server we installed the admin dashboard on!? We the import these into the RMMC and deploy, no issues apart from mpatkts we have to completely remove and reinstall every update. -

Windows Linx Tablet - Viable alternative to netbook?
StephenHardy replied to penfold's topic in General Chat
sounds like a plan but I want to completely destroy the existing partitions. The funny thing is, in the BIOS it detects the drive & I can select it to boot from (I disable all other options) and the damn thing still boots into the installed image!I also wanted to take a system image to restore if I ever need to, but I cant get the recovery media to ever boot either to test the images I have with Acronis -
Windows Linx Tablet - Viable alternative to netbook?
StephenHardy replied to penfold's topic in General Chat
Hi All,I've purchase an educational version of the Linx 10 and I've been trying for ages to get this damn thing to boot to USB so I can install our own version of Windows 8.1 on it. IT detects & sees whatever (I've tried Linux booting, Acronis booting, Window PE & Windows 8.1 on USB using Rufus) pen drive I use but simply does not boot to it. It flashes and then simply boots the current Windows drive...Any directions would be great. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious - I've played with the BIOS as well to no avail...CheersStephen -

Sorted by Using Item-Level Targeting specific registry settings to the user config, but the Item-Level Targeting was done to a Security group containing the workstations. So when a user logs into any other stations their settings are still locked down, but on these laptops for Offline use they get right click access/system tray access and Offline File sync access. Happy Days Stephen
