ICO Survey: Age Appropriate Design Code
hardtailstar replied to rom1984's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
Same here. Plus kids just use Snapchat and play Fortnite in my experience. -
Arguably the Iceland advert has nothing to do with Christmas. Also if they are removing palm oil from their own products, are they selling other products with it? But with that said, it has gone viral which can mean two things - 1. Action is taken on deforestation and using Palm oil in products 2. Everyone will forget the advert after Christmas. We can only hope that action is taken.

we have started using Shotcut Cant tell you how good it is but our test teachers are finding it easy to use for what they need. Will probably be rolling it out in the near future.

Still causing issues here. No matter what we try to resolve it, still having issues. The only way to not get the errors is to untick the protected view as ive said above.

5G Home Internet Connections - The Future?
hardtailstar replied to Dos_Box's topic in Wireless Networks
I have Virgin fiber at home too. When it is rarely not working I always tether my phone to laptop to use the internet which I also do when I am out and about. I havent had any problems with doing that yet. What they need to work on is having Mobile coverage UK wide. Quite often when I go camping/hiking the mobile signal does not work out in the sticks. -
I'd go for the Dell as parts/drivers are probably easier to find.

We create SSIDs for large groups with one password for them to use. As soon as the group leaves we delete it or change the password if we would need to use it again. Any long term users get added to the school guest SSID via us putting in thee password for them.

They Shall Not Grow Old - Schools DVD - Won't Play
hardtailstar replied to FragglePete's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
Not sure if we have had one of those but it sounds like they made the dvd just for dvd players if it works on the dvd player but not computers. -
I don't normally watch it but did last night. It just felt really odd. Just lacked a story. The little guy eating everything was hilarious!

hardtailstar replied to LeMarchand's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
The description does say its a rough design. Anyway Samsung are releasing one soon so that should be much better. -
Have found if you go into the Powerpoint settings and untick the three boxes in the Trust centre Protected view settings, this seems to work as a temporary fix. Obviously we dont want to leave them unticked but its working for now.

Yep getting that too now. Cannot open from own areas or shared drives. Can only open them from desktop.

Hi All, We are experiencing an issue with Google File stream and Office 2016 When trying to open up Office files mainly PowerPoints from Google File stream we get the error below The PPTs open fine from the users own drive area in windows and shared drives. Just any Google drive we get this error. I have tried uninstalling and installing, repairing office, different version of office but still get the samee issue. We are running Windows 7 64bit with Office 2016. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
