About ITAsh

  1. We've been having the issue and right now we're working on seeing if it's anything to do with Roaming profiles, won't know until the students are back though.
  2. How did you find the MTA Server Administrator exam?
  3. Try the Microsoft Virtual Academy online, it's great for learning all things Microsoft including Powershell and what you need to know for taking the MTA's. Just google it!
  4. Good news guys, I passed my 901 A+ Exam with a 842 out of 900!
  5. My exam is in less than a week, any tips from anyone on how I should spend my last week preparing?
  6. What made you choose to go the ITIL route? I've been hearing a lot about ITIL but I have no idea what it fully is.
  7. Hi everyone, I thought I would start a new thread called The IT Certification Thread for people to talk about what IT Certification they're planning on taking/ booked and what you already have. I would like people to share their knowledge on their experiences of the IT Certification world. I will start off by saying I have my A+ 901 exam in less than a month now (and it is coming up quickly) and I have done a lot of study for it. I plan on finishing my A+ cert and then I will do the certifications in the following order. CCENT MTA- Server Administration CCNA- Routing and Switching MCSA- Server Administration. In 4 years time I hope to be a network administrator (hence the exams I will be taking). How about everyone else? ITAsh
  8. We are currently using UEV for the profile that I have been using for testing (my own account)
  9. Hi All, Been trying to prepare for rolling out Windows 10 over the summer holidays to our PCs. Currently at the testing phase and having a problem getting Windows 10 to connect to our Exchange 2010 server (Server 2008) using Outlook 2016. We're currently using SCCM to deploy and the 3 installs that we did are having sporadic bursts between working and not (Two installed via SCCM, the other installed via disk). after doing a shift+f9 for sending and receiving it comes up with the error code 0x80040115, looked it up but this is a non admin account problem and can't do any of the suggestions. PC1: can get onto outlook but doesn't receive any mails and comes up with the code. (installed via disk) PC2: Gets onto outlook but randomly disconnects now and again (installed via SCCM) PC3: Doesn't even open the application stating that it cannot connect and then closes the application. Any suggestions?
  10. Hi Edugeeks, We're currently in the testing phase of rolling out Windows 10 onto our workstations, we've got a bit of a strange error happening right now though. With Outlook 2016 a window pops up saying it cannot connect to the server etc. with Outlook 2013 it asks the user to enter in the details (it doesn't pick up the profile script we have in place). Both these versions of Outlook are on the same machine, Outlook 2016 was tried first before we decided to try Outlook 2013 and it doesn't matter what User logs into it. This has happened on 2 machines so far out of the 4 that we have on Windows 10, the 2 that are working are the IT office machines (mine and my network managers) My Outlook will disconnect if I close it and reopen but it reconnects sometime during the night? As for server side of things we're running Exchange 2010 on 2008r2. Any information required I can give. Thanks, Ashley
