I am hoping someone will be able to assist me with the issue I am currently experiencing, which was working about six weeks ago. So... I recently wiped an iMac we were having odd internet issues with one user, as we were not sure what was causing this problem after lots of problem-solving and thought if we wipe it and start from the beginning to see if the issue still was there however after wiping the iMac it got to the section where it asked to login in with a user at the "Remote Management" section. Previously, we were able to log in with an Admin account without any issues; however, this time it doesn't allow us to do so and kicks us back to the original screen. So, thinking that MFA might be causing an issue, we created a new user within the "Device Enrollment Managers" tab in Intune to see if that resolves the issue. However, we still encounter the same problem, where it simply stops and prevents us from logging in, forcing us to return to the original screen. So we are a little stuck! I wondered if anyone has any suggestions on what we are missing, as we are following the MS documentation, but it doesn't cover any problems. Is anyone able to IM me a script or point me in a direction of one as I am not a great scripter and anything to get me started would be great? Or an article with how to use Delprof in this scenario? Edit: I think looking at the delprof site I may be able to work it out in the short term. Let's hope 1809 does what they say it will and working nicely with UEV profiles.

Does anyone have a copy of the script they use with Delprof2 and powershell? This is starting to see this more and more. Would be nice to have to wait to be informed from spiceworks that a drive is nearly full

I think I have found what the problem was. After moving some of the GPOs from User GPO to Computer GPO the machines were not able to write to the DFS share. I added the computer AD group to that share and it all seems to be working. But thank you for the quick response.

Looking in PowerShell with the Get-UevConfiguration read correctly with it all point to the correct shares and the storage path is also correct and it creating the folder but unfortunately, I am still getting the same error and no XML being stored in the %homesage%\SettingPackage location

Being very new to UE-V and throw in the deep end! I have set all the GPOs for UE-V to point towards the template share. As this I a new VM machine do I need to register the DFS location again? Are there reg files that need to be added? Sorry if I am not grasping this but like I said all very new. only started reading about this last week and picking apart what someone else has done.

Hi All, First time posting! So hopefully someone can help I am having an issue setting up UE-V on win 10 edu 1709. I have been chasing my tail for the last few day to try and get some information on this error message I am getting and how to resolve it but with no luck. So has anyone here come across this issues? From the event log I can see this: "An error occurred in the ApplySettingsTemplateCatalog utility" Event ID: 1509 But it creates the folder in the userspace correctly but does not put any setting in the folder. Please if anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated as I am on a deadline to get this working before the 13th dec -Max

I had a similar problem for ages. Are you using "net use" via cmd to connect to your MDT share? 1. Open a CMD windows and enter the following a. Net use * \\MDT1\Deploymentshare$ b. When prompted enter credentials for a user who has Write permissions to the \\MDT1\Deploymentshare$ folder in the format of: domain\user i. Note: typically this would be a user with Domain Administrative rights c. When prompted enter the password for the user entered above 2. Enter the following to run the Litetouch sequence a. \\ MDT 1\Deploymentshare$\scripts\litetouch.vbs I run this when connecting from the Windows image and you need to make sure what RLI said with the DoCapture=Yes, but I have found that SkipCapture=NO, will also work. Sorry if you already know this.

Thank you for getting back to me on this @AMLightfoot. We are currently one update behind so we are sitting on update 72 with 73 waiting to be done. So am is there something I am missing which I haven't enabled? Or is the update for the workaround in update 73? We have had one iPad to test on the network and it works fine once someone has logged in to get past the captive portal and keep the Wi-Fi on.

Hi Just hoping someone will be able to help me with my Apple iPad/SmoothWall problem. We are currently running a transparent proxy with captive portal setup, where students and teachers can login an use the internet on their devices around the school. We are looking for some iPads which are enrolled to use the same wireless network with the same situation of having to login to use the internet. But this is where the problems start to occur. Doing a bit of reading on various sites the iPads on occasion want to ping out to a one of Apples websites but at random from 200+ websites to confirm that they have an internet connection. But hits the captive portal and with no login details then fails and turns off the wireless on the ipad, this is also the same problem on setup screen. Which means the iPad does not receive updates from APN to report the server for changes and also when in the science students use the wireless to connect to some sensor devices we have but can’t use them without have to reconnecting to the wireless and login to use the internet because the iPad wants to check to see if there is an internet connection otherwise will it off. Airprint is also an issue when not logged into the captive portal because again Wi-Fi gets disabled when not authenticated. We need to create a rule that looks for User Agent UA “CaptiveNetworkSupport”. If transparent proxy sees this, it should allow the http request through the filter unauthenticated. Is there a setting in SmoothWall, a rule I can write or anyone has or a way of reading the User Agent which will help me bypass the captive portal using unauthorised IP so the iPads get the reply they want which is “success” but whilst still being able to filter the internet for student and the other rules which are applied?
