Just got rid of the server I built to learn my trade on NT4 and Server 2000, she was a lush P2, 2x 6gig IDE HDD in cheap removable caddy's and three sticks of pc133 64mb of ram. She was gathering dust in a cupboard for five years so it was kind to put her out of her misery. God bless you Sharon I'll miss you:( I'm off to have a drink in her honner now, cheers;)

How do you do your storage now? Would you be better off with a NAS box dedicated to the media stuff? or do you have one already. The staff get 2gig and pupils 1gig and they are managed with disk quota's but we have a terastation for large media files, images ect. bit like a big dumping ground but people tend to manage it well and delete stuff that they no longer need.
-
I think so.

As for the covers ect. most burning software has a application for making them usually just a drag and drop thingy, How many do you need to make? I did around 200 lat year and that took me about a week using my office machine.

If set up right, Sophos;), had it for four years now and I like it, however a lot of members on edugeek hate it:o but each to their own.

I recon it's goosed matey, can you get to the tv's menu when you have the blue error screen on? is there an option to change the format from PAL to NTSC? just thinking that the telly may be in NTSC mode or something

Try this one but as a "local policy" on one of the laptops. that solved a few problems we had a while ago as the policy loads when you start the laptop up and not when the wireless connection starts. worth a try.
-
Try this gpo Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>System>User Profiles>Log use off when roaming profile fails, you'll also need the wait for network on start up and logon gpo to.
-
Is this because the users profile in in their home drive? I'm sure there is a gpo that say's somthing like, prevent log on if user profile is unavalible but I can't find it after 5 mins looking:mad:

As Tricky Dicky Said are you using windows to manage the wireless connection? I’ve come across allsorts of problems in the past when using the utilities from the makers of the wireless cards if not change that within the properties box for that connection, can you log on with a local Admin account and check to see if all is correct with it’s ip address, if they are assigned via dhcp maybe try to give them a static address it could be that they aren’t getting an address from your dhcp server for some strange reason. also see if you can browse to where the profiles are on your network. Hope this might be of some help:) Let's know how you get on

Will the drive come out of the enclosure? if so you could try and put it into a computer as a slave and see if it is visible
-
try using use a local machine gpo of, Local Computer policy>Computer Configuration>Addministrative Templates>System>Logon>Always wait for the network at start up and logon. Enable this and that might just work:)
